Exactly. Buying Kluivert would be a sign of a lack of faith in Reyes, who has explicitly been bought as Henry's future first choice partner. Kluivert only obscures that issue.

Just because Kluivert's cheap doesn't make him a necessity, or even a very sensible option.

Expect Arsène to buy a central midfielder and a defender in the summer. The midfielder I expect to be named Yaya Toure, the defender I hope will be Trabelsi. Maybe, if he doesn't think Pennant's gonna do the job, he'll resurrect his interest in Van Persie.

Otherwise, I wouldn't expect much.

i have a strange feeling of seeing van Persie here in arsenal... if only feyenoord shut their damn mouth about the bid. but that brought us REYES... ;D
