Dan Casey playing that false 9 role and looked good. Popping up everywhere and popping off passes here and there. Bailey-Joseph looks really dangerous though for a schoolboy, think if he sharpens up his ball striking he'll be a very difficult player for defenders to deal with. Good to see Ibrahim back aswell.
Casey is one we should be looking to promote over this season. He’s an interesting player, some Lampard-ish qualities in his ability to get goals frequently from in and around the area. His movement in those areas is top class.

Lost 1:0 vs Reading against today.

Pretty poor performances and result so far since Wilshere left. Don't think it's just because Dowman is missing.

The performance looked fine here, just couldn't score.

Bailey-Joseph on the plus side looks to be growing in confidence and developing nicely. Easy to forget he's also a schoolboy and one of the younger players in this group.

Still no Max Dowman in the squad. Very intriguing.
We lost this game 2-0 to Palace but the highlights tell me we really could and should have won

Louis Zecevic-John in particular was dangerous but missed a hattrick of golden chances. On another day, he has 3 goals to his name.

Bailey-Joseph also looked good. Starting to become very impressed with him.

I'm at work and can't find a stream but it's not sounding good. I've heard 2 Sporting goals already, both from Nichols mistakes. Bad day for the RB so far.
Looked OK going forward but the defence looks shakey all round. Nichols mistake for the second goal. Sporting have some good forwards to be fair. Gabriel Silva looks talented for them. Dowman could of had a pen after decent run but ref didn't give it.

At least we finally look decent going forward again. Want to see a goal for Annous aswell, just kinda cooled off for him since getting promoted to u21s but he's developing well IMO.

The academy team keep getting spanked in Europe. Could end last in the group stage if it wasn’t for that fluky win over psg

Jeorge Bird says he's also a technical midfielder like his brother. Not sure in what capacity but he used the words "impressive passer and dribbler" so that bodes quite well. I haven't seen him yet, as he isn't playing for the U16s. So far the only player who's clips I've seen below that level is a kid called Luis Munoz, who looks very interesting.

Dont know if you all have been following the flamengo cup. We are playing the final today at 11:30 GMT. Good glimpse of the next generation. As expected Brando Bailey Joseph has been the star of the team throughout the tournament . However the likes of Zecevic-John Murisa and O'neill have had good tournaments . The semi against Zagreb is on the Flamengo website.
The team for those who want to Know Jack
Talbot: 12 Callan Hamill(Scottish kid we are to sign next year) ,4 Marli Salmon, 5 Patrick Stachow 3 Josh Ogunnaike: 6 Teshaun Murisa, 8 Saurap Sampang 10 Kyran Thompson: 11 Ceadach O'neill 14 Marley Frohock and RW Bailey-Joseph
Salmon didnt have the best of games though he's the youngest on the pitch and has already played for u19s this season.

I knew Bailey-Joseph was good but this is the first proper time seeing him over the course of a few games back to back and he's electric . Really like his game a lot, not just a talented dribbler, he's got really good anticipation and timing along with his pace and technical ability. Could be some player. Same with Zecevic-John. Glad to see him looking clinical, he's been in good form recently but didn't quite have the goals to back it. Think this tournament will start that back up again. Would like to see him alongside Annous.

I've probably been most impressed with Teshaun Murisa as I haven't seen him as much. You can tell he has a few more gears but he chooses efficiency. Good to have both him and Ife Ibrahim at the same time.

Salmon has been quite impressive IMO, Hamill and Stachow were better against Zagreb, but I think Salmon's had the better tournament marginally. I can see why he's rated, very smooth on the ball. There's been a few other players that have impressed me in patches. Ceadach O'Neill strikes me as one of those players who's good at lots of different things and is an all-round threat and nuisance. Frohock scored a lovely header the other day, he's defo got something. Kyran Thompson looked a little raw at first but he's grown heavily into the tournament. Sampang, Haashi and Marciniak have all been very steady - what I like about them the most is how technically capable they are and how well they take care of the ball.

To be honest i hadnt watched most pf the first games.Him Stachow and Hamill are all born months apart and all play RB/CB or LB/CB in the case of Stachow. I've always known he's a huge talent. It was more or less for anyone who's never watched him before not to judge him on that game.

Salmon & Stachow were really good today. So was Hamill when he came on. Hamill was really impressive. The whole defence performed really well. Flamengo needed a worldie to score! Talbot did well aswell. I like the #17 aswell. Every time I've seen him he's looked excellent.

Arsenal Quotes

I want a fan to wake up in the morning and say, “Arsenal are playing today, I’m going to have a good time.” That guy starts his day off by thinking that something good is going to happen to him. And to do that, big clubs like Arsenal have to have the ambition to play spectacularly. Of shared happiness.
