Game ended 4-3 to Fulham. Basically kills the title hopes unfortunately but it was a good effort from this group, led by Dowman. U21s play later.Bad news at the moment.
U18s are 3-0 down to Fulham after half an hour. Quite a few players missing - Ife Ibrahim is having to play CB for this - but still could be a crushing blow IF we don't turn it around after half time.
Need Dowman to rise it

Who do you think was a bigger talent at 17, Messi, Ronaldo fenomeno, Anelka, Rooney, Fabregas or Yamal? Maybe Pele and Maradona, but that was ages ago.

I think Ronaldo got going at PSV and then Barca. He might have been around 19-20 then. At Barce and then Inter he was literally unplayable.
Yamal’s passing is a joke though. I think only young Fabregas has the level of vision for the pass below. He’s casually pulling out trivela passes like this on a weekly basis.
In that game alone he could have had like 5 assists lol. He is pulling off passes that would make prime Fabregas, Özil, Messi, KDB and Pogba proud. It's his ingenuity, instincts and confidence/mentality that really stands out about him. He can make 5 mistakes in a row and he will keep coming at the defense trying things, nothing seems to phase him. Also helps that he has a manager that encourages him to play that way. Wish Ethan was given the same freedom to express himself even if he makes mistakes and loses the ball a couple of times.

U18s ended up having a decent season despite losing Wilshere. Dowman led what was almost a very successful campaign with a team almost as young as him.
Thought guys like Dan Casey and Ife Ibrahim were also really good this season and really helped platform Dowman further.
I also feel like while the attackers are u18 level aren't as heralded, they're all very talented themselves and have a lot of potential. Louis Zecevic-John had another good season in his first scholar year, as did Harriman-Annous who himself is now an u21 regular. Ceadach O'Neill also did quite well this season.
Brando Bailey-Joseph is probably one of the unsung heroes this season as despite being a schoolboy he was arguably the most promising wing prospect this season.

Looks like we might actually have an exciting U21s next season. It’s been a while. Good to know that Dowman will be alongside other promising talents like Salmon, Harriman-Annous, Ibrahim and Casey, perhaps alongside a couple of recruits. They can hopefully give him a good platform to continue developing his all round game. Though who knows how soon Mikel will give him meaningful minutes.

That'll depend largely on preseason. I'm 99% certain he will travel with the 1st team, might even be the only youngster outside of Lewis-Skelly and Nwaneri to do so. Maybe we could see a Gower or (hopefully) Harriman-Annous and Ibrahim. But I'm pretty sure Dowman will play and if he goes out there looking like Wilshere 2.0, he will see competitive minutes next season.

Dowman will play full pre-season with us but i don't think he'll start season with first team and it'll be waste of time anyway because he'll get zero minutes but he can play PL2 games next season? because to me it's also a waste he keep playing u18 football lol.

PL2 will be an even bigger waste of time tbh. He'll outgrow it within a couple of games - but he'll at least have something to do. If Arteta gives him any competitive minutes in the first team, Dowman will make it so Arteta never takes him out the squad.

i can't see it that the issue lol. Ethan never seeing minutes after Saka get back to the team and with summer we'll have it'll be even more difficult for Dowman to get minutes the problem it's not even allowed we send him on loan.
