IMO if we sign Nasri & lose Hleb then we still need a bench type player to add experience & depth, otherwise were in a straight swap scenario which does little to address our issues (coz I don't count all our kids graduating from the Youth squad / Vela as genuine depth).

Alex was brilliant when we played PSV; didn't really get a handle on how well he did for Chelsea this year. Why? Is he up for grabs?

Not that I know of, but who knows with the current uncertainity surrounding them at the moment. Also it will interesting to see which of the current players the new manager wants to keep.

We need a center back, a left back, a Flamini replacement and Nasri. The status of Hleb and Gilberto is also not known which need to replace both of them. This summer will be a long one for the fans with speculations especially after Euro 08 there will be more names mentioned!!!!

with Nasri is on his way here.

We now need a top quality CB, a Flamster replacement if Arsène can't find one within the current team and a winger who just need to be better than Eboue.

Why just 'better than Eboue'? That covers over 20 wingers in our league alone - surely our standards should be higher? ;)

if you just want better than eboue through walcott in there and be done with it, no money spent. If we are going to sign a winger, they need to be much more talented than eboue. The only thing he really brings is speed, and diving ability.

Anyone know how much Quaresma might cost? Not an opinion, but how much Porto value him (interview with coach/chairman/etc..). I'm just curious.

The Porto Chairman quoted he won't be considering any offer less than the release clause fee 40 mil Euro.

Latest news is Inter considering bidding for Quaresma somewhere around 30 mil Euro with Mourinho is a looking likely to become the new manager and Quaresma name is on top of his list.

Not so much a wish as an observation.
AW has reportedly stated that we're not in the market for a striker, yet we are being linked to the likes of Villa & Gomez etc. He says he wants to address our defence regarding long balls down the middle, yet there is little talk in regard to this area. The most speculation is in regard to midfielders, which is hardly a position we are in short supply - curious.

Also saw a quote today supposedly from Danny F(?) saying that AW will have access to what ever funding he wants - again.

If so then bring it on & NO excuses!!!!!

Yaya swap for Hleb
Nasri for £11/12m
Dunne £3-5m
Gomes £10m

I reckon thats enough to win us the league TBH.
