If we wanted to go in for a young CB to take over as a good squad option to replace Luiz, one person I wouldn't mind looking at is West Hams Issa Diop. Got good potential in him I think & he's still relatively young.

GK: Chesney, Mason
RB: Bogle
CB: Luiz and Saliba
LB: Amavi
Cm: Saul or Bissouma
AM: Ødegaard

I like those, but I think Ødegaard is more a 8 than a 10, he would be a good offensive CM, in fact both Ødegaard and ESR are more suited to a 8 position than as a 10s. Bissouma is more a 6 like Partey.

---- Partey -------
-- Ode - ESR -----

If Ødegaard is under 50 million he would be a good buy imo, if he is 50 or a bit more than that I prefer to invest the money in SMS for 10-20 million more for example. I would take a shot in that Jean Pyerre guy from Grêmio as well, as he could be cheap and with great potential too.

----- Partey -----
-- SMS -- ESR --

If Saka is the RW as he is a hybrid between a inside forward and a wide playmaker, then we need at least and goalscorer wide forward on the left (and not an wide creator like Grealish) and a good goalscorer at front too.

Wide goalscorer forward can be disputed between Auba and Martinelli (both can play as a nine too) and Lacazette is good enough to play as a 9 for Arsenal, but he is around 30 and is looking for the last pay check, a goalscorer false nine would make sense, don't know if he is available but Gabriel Jesus can be a great buy here, Matheus Cunha has all the tools too, sure other forwards have it as well, and a player like Dybala can be very good as well.

If Dybala is availabe for around 50 million too he could be a good name for Arsenal imo, he is 27, but I still think he has some motivation and football in his boots to prove something.

---------- Partey ----------
------- SMS -- ESR -------
Saka ---- Dybala ----- PEA

----------- Elneny -----------
-------- Willock - JP --------
Nelson - Balogun - Martinelli

I would fancy Martinelli over PEA, but I understand he is not proved. In anyway both would scored goals from the left/center position while Dybala can operate as nine and a half in fact. Saka would provide goals and assists as well.

Ødegaard for less than 50 million > SMS = 65 million (?)
Dybala = 50 million (?) > Matheus Cunha or Gabriel Jesus = 50 million (?)
JP = 10 million (?)
Bertrand = (?)
Matt Ryan = (?)
Cheap RB = 5 million

150 million (?)

Sell
Niles 20m
Bellerin 15m
Laca 25m
Torreira 20m
Kola 10m
Eddie 20m
Pepe 25m
Xhaka 15m

Total: 150 million

What a bloody legend, one of my fave players! This is why I want Grealish, I look around and think who's most similar to a player like Rui Costa, a player that just elevates a team and makes fans want to go to the stadium, and I think right now it's Grealish. Get him in!

Locatelli and Pellegrini would completely reveloutionize our midfield. Both work hard defensively and have excellent passing ranges and shouldn’t cost more than 70m combined. Pellegrini also has a great mentality and could end up as our captain for his 30m release clause.
Di Lorenzo is a great option for right back aswell. He can go forward and is solid in defence. Basically Tierney but on the right. I would say he would be as cheap as 15m.

I have been saying this for a few seasons. We have to get Aouar/Tonali/Cuisance/Roca....Back when they won’t cost 1/3 of the price today. Back when they haven’t joined any European giants side. How good our midfield would have been?How much money we would have made today?

People mentioned how the Coutinho transfer make liverpool where they are today.....
Look at what I have suggested, it’s exactly the “Coutinho transfer” we always wanted.

I wouldn't mind seeing this if we don't sign Ødegaard:

------------Partey------------
-----Buendia-----ESR--------
---Saka-----Auba----Pepe----

Alternatively could go for Nkunku, Sabitzer or Aouar if we wanted a more expensive option over Buendia. Could also sometimes play Partey as a box to box player with Xhaka filling in as the 6 for more tight games maybe. If we go for this formation I wouldn't mind either of AMN or Willock to stay as an option for the CM spots.

If we do sign Ødegaard then I would like something like this:

-------Locatelli/Soumare------Partey-------------
----Saka----------Ødegaard-------Pepe/Marti----
----------------------Auba---------------------------

Although I think Ødegaard can be a good player for us I don't like this system at all, it hasn't aged well and teams like Bayern, City and Liverpool don't play like that at all.

Is that not exactly what Bayern play like, Kimmich & Goretzka in midfield, Muller as a number 10 with 2 wide men & Lewa up top?
