Let's play Aubamawang

Has 8 Cats 🐈

Country: England

Player:
I really like Morgan Gibbs-White. He could really do a job for us on the wing. I wouldn't feel like the side would be weaker with him in it when we rotate.

I'm a fan of the Doue kid too, but maybe we need someone more experienced? That said, the kid has amazing skills, and I would love us to sign him. I'm just not sure if he's ready to help beat Citeh.

Chiesa on the left hand side would be a game changer for us.

I like Cheisa but we have two of the better left wingers in the league (including the highest scoring LW). A left winger is on of the last season things we need.

Our priority should be Partey and Eddie upgrades.

I would say Raya too but that ain't happening.

Yeah best defence in the league + golden glove for Raya + elite with his feet. You aren’t getting another keeper haha.

One would point the Raya mistakes may have cost us the title eg conceding the only 2 shots he faced against Villa in our last game, poor for both the Fulham goals, terrible error against Sp**s, dreadful positioning for the Mavropanos goal against West Ham, dreadful for 2 of the Luton goals ( Rice bailed him out with a late winner).

However Arteta seems to think it's more beneficial to have a keeper that can throw a ball like Rory Delap than being a half decent shot stopper.

Ramsdale was in goal vs Fulham ffs

Any Bundesliga watchers? Maximilian Beier is looking very good on comps. 21 years old, 16 goals for Hoffeinheim, he played some games on lw and rw too.

"Maxi’ stands at 6’0ft, a distinct height in the game of football, which in the same breath is a rarity in today’s game seeing a winger/striker hybrid player that tall (common for 9s). Beier has an agile frame with a longer legs-body ratio. He recognizes this and uses it well in different ways, with and against the ball.

An example is his powerful running style in the final third, as he compacts his legs to the ground for nimble movements in little spaces and also makes use of his long legs for higher strides when he carries through a long distance. Against the ball, he often ghosts into challenges, cutting passing lanes by extending the range of his legs fully to intercept passes."

"The images above captures his orientation when it comes to positioning and also how comfortable he is receiving at any distance, driving and stretching defences with pace, as well as how expansive his finishing can get. He’s one of the best pure ball-strikers in the league, and even in awkward angles, he finds his finishes. In other words, he turns nothing into chances or goals."

With Sesko staying, we might pay the clause for ZIrkzee. 40 million, bargain!

Sell Nketiah, get Zirkzee in and go big on Olise or Nico Williams as winger with Doue as a good back-up / young talent!!!!

Try to get Kolo Muani loan + option to buy.

This guy was special at Frankfurt and wouldn't be the first player to flop at PSG. Arteta can fix him and PSG will probably go for another big striker this summer.

I think it is a real shame the rashford (and others) thread has been closed. Particularly given the news ETH will be staying now. Surely that means rashford more likely to go? With sesko not joining and no euro action for rashford he could be the next project we take advantage of. Others with greater stat knowledge would know if his tracking issues are new or we could get a tune out of him in a new environment and with new motivation.

The same applies to Sancho, I guffawed when I heard of a link to him, but then we do identify based on ceiling rather than floor (see Ødegaard and havertz). Would he suit us if taken out of the man utd environment?

Interested to hear sounded out arguments on these two, possibly also mudryk too if we think outside the box again this transfer window.

Just to mention that I ask the above as others will have more in depth knowledge as to what we need and their actual skill set.

Havertz has worked as he fits what we need once back to his best, it took a while but the confidence is back.

We seem to be linked with players on the up but who are risks, the worry is now we decide we need a forward but given we do not rotate in they get similar minutes to Eddie or reiss. At least with the man utd duo there may be an argument they are true game changers on their day.

I ask about mudryk too as player swaps with other big English teams may be an option to move on those needing a new environment, and getting someone from another club needing the same. Would a swap involving ramsdale out and mudryk in potentially work for us and keep values of both players artificially high?

Or João Félix loan + option to buy.

Who’s better than Raya and on the market?
Who’s better than White and on the market?
Who’s better than Saliba/Gabriel and on the market?

Do this for every player and tell me where we can improve significantly.

Valles, Lunin, Bulka are all better than Raya.

No ones better than White, Willy and Gabby.

CM, CF, LW, LB could all be improved significantly.

Let’s do names for the CM, CF, LW, LB.

Bare in mind Havertz return at CF, basically
one of the best in Europe as things stand.

Raya - I don’t believe there’s a significant upgrade + believe he should keep his place for next season.

White - no upgrade.

Saliba/Gabs - no upgrade

Zinchenko/Kiwior - I like Robinson from Fulham, Nouri from Wolves and Gutierrez from Girona. But it looks like we want a quick LCB (Pacho linked)

Partey/Jorginho - We can upgrade here but I’m unsure on names.

Rice - N/A

Ødegaard - N/A

Saka - N/A but important we get someone to push him.

Havertz - I think he deserves to start up front but if we can get Osimhen or Isak that’s obviously an upgrade.

Martinelli/Trossard - Neto, I know his injury history isn’t good but we have enough numbers to cope with it imo. Also provides cover for Saka.
