The Wish List

Only just seen Philogene went back to Villa. That's frustrating - Villa have a very decent team. Yaser Asprilla gone to Leicester aswell. All the promising young wingers being snapped up. My wish list of attackers is becoming decimated.

It's almost like sporting directors of rival clubs are stalking you on here 🥸

Player:
Williams Jr/Neto and Osimhen, and then low ball United for Sancho.

Then use Nwaneri, possibly Lewis-Skelly and get in that Fernandez kid and we are set people.

Would anyone go for Ademola Lookman as a replacement for Nelson and Nketiah?

Great stats in Serie A and a standout for Nigeria.

No, don’t think he’s a difference maker. There’s only a select few on the market we should be taking.

I’ll be incredibly frustrated if we don’t get one. Even if we keep Reiss and Eddie we’ve got enough squad space.

Dom Solanke could do serious numbers playing for us. Impressed with how much his game has come on in recent years.

Although don’t imagine that he’ll be cheap going off current valuations

I'll repeat what I've been saying all window: sell Martinelli (or maybe Trossard, but I'd prefer the former) then drop 100m on Napoli's front door towards the end of the window to bring in Kvara. He's the perfect player for us.
👏 👏 👏

Been my first choice LW all summer.

I like Nico too don’t get me wrong, but Kvara oozes class. Only downside is he doesn’t bring that pace we ideally want to stretch teams.

In fairness, Philogene has been on my wishlist for nearly a year so I'm a little frustrated he's unavailable now.
Yeah I know you’ve talked him up for a long time.

It wasn’t so much a dig at anyone wishlisting these guys as a reflection of how the market/our window has unfolded

Rice will play 3500+ minutes
Ødegaard will play 3500+ minutes
Partey, Jorginho and Merino sharing minutes?

Saka will play 3500+ minutes
Havertz and Jesus will share 4000+ minutes
Martinelli and Trossard will share minutes

I’m cool going with one “maybe” starter like Havertz up front. But having two positions where 2+ players could take that position isn’t ideal.

Look at City, in the forward line and midfield you can guarantee who’s going to play in 5 out of 6 of the positions every single week.

Rice, Ødegaard, Saka and based on form, Havertz, are guaranteed but we need one more so badly.

Still think Merino would be more of a squad player.

Solanke and Kvara is the smart move here.

Solanke is not good enough for our current level, nor good enough for the price he'd cost, and Kvara is not doable both financially and for the fact he simply isn't available for transfer currently. So how are those "smart moves"?

Attempting to do things you probably shouldn't and aren't likely to happen are kind of the opposite of "smart moves".

No arguments regarding Solanke, but why shouldn’t we do a deal for Kvaradona regardless of if it's likely or not?

Out: Ramsdale, Nelson, Partey, Nketiah, Kiwior, Tierney, Vieira, Martinelli
In: Kvaradona, Vitinha/Wirtz

Kvaradona/Trossard - Havertz/Jesus - Saka/Nwaneri
Vitinha/Lewis-Skelly - Ødegaard/Nwaneri
Rice/Jorginho
Zinchencko/Calafiori - Gabriel/Calafiori - Saliba/Timber - White/Tomiyasu
Raya/Setford/Hein
Lots of players are tactically flexible and can play multiple positions. I'd be very happy with this. Vitinha/Wirtz can also be a different player, but I'd like a player in the Silva/Vitinha mould.
