The Wish List

...and then He woke up sweating !!!
My wishlist is really starting to take shape:

Zinny, #5, KT, J20 are all more or less confirmed to be going, shaving close to 500k off the wage bill. I’d also move Trossard on.

Zubi is pretty much confirmed.

All focus on Sesko (raw, but with massive potential up top), Williams (Ideal winger for us).

Cunha is the added bonus, and only comes in if we can move Trossard on. He offers us the direct threat from AM, that Ødegaard doesn’t.

————-Raya———
Timber—Saliba—-Gabriel—Cala
————-Zubi————-
——Ode——-Rice———
—Saka—Sesko—-Williams

——-Back up GK—
Tomi—White—Kiwior(?)—MLS
——-Rice—-Merino—-
————Cunha———
Ethan—-Kai——-Martinelli

White/Timber, Cunha and Kai are essentially first 11 players as well, who play depending on the opposition.

The above squad has a top mix of experience and youthfulness.

My absolute dream signing is Isak. Have been advocating for him for a while now. Can play both ST and LW at a high level. However, the Jesus injury has forced our hand and we need a striker this window. Dont know who we can get that raises our level, but Isak is likely unattainable. Gyokeres and Sesko are obvious options based on chatter, but I cant really judge properly. Gyokeres has undeniable stats and some classy goals, but when I watch his half-season highlights there are also lots of scrappy goals and moments. Sesko looks 'classier' to me in his highlights. Neither have me as excited as Isak, though.

I hoped we could spend all our winter budget on an LW to truly raise the level of our first XI. Top target was Kvaratskhelia. Cant believe he's moving for only ~€70m. Shame we're not in for him. Dont have an immediate alternative in mind. Perhaps a disgruntled Rodrygo or Barcola? I love Wirtz as a player, but ideally he's our LCM.

TLDR: my wishlist is not realistic for this winter and dont know who we could get.

Summer window:
In: Zubimendi, Williams, Semenyo, Garcia (GK), Hato and a decent right footed CB

Agree 100%. Watched Newcastle v Wolves yesterday after our game. Isak is him. So talismanic and both scores and creates. It’ll never happen because of the fee it’d take (my guess is 150m even in summer), but man he’s so good. He’d come in and genuinely be our best player since Henry.

Pretty much. Should trust his right foot a bit more - id also like to see him with the handbrake off a bit more. Camavinga is quicker tbf.
Camavinga is absolutely rapid, one of the fastest players around who's not a forward. Been quietly struggling a bit at Madrid recently mostly with injuries but he'd be unreal for us. Wouldn't take much to lure him

I'm nailing my colours to the mast on CF.

Huge Ekitike. I'll take guys like Delap, Samu etc. Isak I think is not gonna happen. Ekitike for me is a gem. Probably doesn't leave Frankfurt this January however but he's who I'd be looking at.

Patrick Dorgu at LB. Proper attacking LB.

LW is still Gittens but I'm also really becoming a fan of Antoine Semenyo. Has gotten even better as the season's gone on and I still remember how good he looked against us in pre-season.

Second this, guy looks almost custom made to play CF in the modern game  @jones probably has more insight.

Worth noting he's slowly but surely abandoning the LB position both at club and international level. A huge talent for sure but he's also the definition of a player without a nailed down position:

He's very inconsistent still but ceiling wise he's the complete striker. Needs to fill out a bit but he's deceptively strong and good with his back to goal, rapid and is a bona fide 5* skiller at 6'3.

His problem atm is when things don't go for him his head drops and his stamina isn't quite there yet although massively improved he's often hooked after 75.

0% chance the club let him leave this January, he'll be the main man now and I'd expect him to stay another season before he has another stab at a big club. Sky's the limit for him though and would love him at Arsenal

Delap's the one I want & he has all the requisite skillsets to become a top striker.

He'll be reasonably priced when Ipswich eventually go down.

100% I'd take Delap aswell. He's pretty high up on my list as far as project CFs go and I've been a fan of his since he was at City's academy. Does a really decent job of making the ball stick against most CBs and can actually get the ball down and play too. I mainly wanted to see if he could score at this level for Ipswich and he's more than shown that IMO. Only issues for me is there'll be a ton of competition and also the fact that City have a buy-back. Not even sure if Arteta will want him either.

While the top end of the CF market is pretty barren, there's a lot of good, young project CFs we can work with for sure and I'm quite excited about that market. The better profiles for us going forward are all in that bracket unfortunately.

Özil at 10 And Emery Out
Amad Diallo as Saka back up and option for attacking midfield a la Bernardo Silva. It's time for him to take the next step.

Arsenal Quotes

When I first came to Arsenal, I realised the back four were all university graduates in the art of defending. As for Tony Adams, I consider him to be a doctor of defence. He is simply outstanding.
