Then Neto is leaving, which means we need another GK. With all the whispers it might as well be Joan Garcia, though I'm not sure we should be getting a reserve GK for 30m.

In defense, Tierney and Zinchenko are probably leaving, Kiwior might be looking for another challenge too as he's featuring even less than the aforementioned players. That means we have White, Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori and MLS for next season, with Tomi maybe coming back in the winter. That looks short to me as well.

In attack I'd sell Trossard, make Martinelli the bench option. We can't sell Jesus, Sterling is going back, so that leaves us with Saka, Nwaneri, Ødegaard, Havertz, Martinelli. That needs a huge upgrade quality wise.

In short, I think it's foolish to think we're going to replace the likes of Ødegaard. We have enough on our hands as it is, Berta is going to have his work cut out for him.

True, but that would be spreading the budget out over 6 or 7 players again. We need gamechangers, not more squad players.

Carlo destroyed his career by not letting him play at his natural position and not given enough game time. It is also Camavings fault to join RM while the midfield was packed with world class players in their prime.

What's with the Baena hype here? His fbref stats look good, but I watched a highlight video and it felt very "mid". Wont judge him, never seen him play, but curious if someone can elaborate?

I hope our wishlist is full of players that just instantly look a level above. Players like Isak, Wirtz, Barcola. Before I also thought that about Kvaradona and Olise (not anymore obviously). Or a player like Vitinha. Everytime I watch PSG I'm sad we went for that dud Vieira instead of him.

After watching J.Alvarez play, I’ve come to think we would do best with a profile like his, decent linkup, but with that skill and acceleration to create space in the box and shoot accurately with good movement. Like Jesus but with finishing basically.

For me, perhaps Gyokeres is the best available type for this. I have absolutely no doubt he would be so hungry and score at least 20 league goals for us.
