I don’t think we will spend a lot next season, the squad is stacked for the foreseeable future.

We need to keep our eye out for the next big thing at CF and LW.

Gyok and Eze should hopefully do the job for the next few years. We can afford to take a calculated risk in those areas of the pitch.

LW is still our achillesheel. And maybe a top striker if Gyokeres does not meet the expectations.

Honestly i think we need someone younger than him, he will be turning 27 next season and we need to be be back in the market searching for the next big things especially after bringing in Eze and Gyokeres this year.

You can't keep searching in the 25+ bracket the way we have the last 4 years. the top teams are all in the market below that we have only done that with defenders.

This summer was it. Don't think we do anything unless there's an unexpected outgoing

Kai will get a new contract and retire here

Seems to play a lot of football on the RW but I absolutely wouldn't say no to him. Proper talent. Him and Brando at the same time would certainly be a treat.
It’s shame we are such good friends with Chelsea we would never even consider it

We probably are considering it but we won't be able to get him IMO. We're quite poor at recruiting the top talents on the cusp of scholarships. We usually have to get em while they're still U15s etc. Probably why we've been hoovering up all the Irish/Scottish talents of late.

I don't think we can offer the packages that Chelsea can. Even though this is where football is, I think we don't want to get into the dirty dealings which happen in academy football. I know Chelsea offers housing to young players and gives high wages to players' parents to claim "they work for the club" to secure the signing of the player.

Yeah Chelsea's recruitment is beyond what we're willing to do but IMO it's not just that. Chelsea practically guarantee a career at a relatively decent level. Arsenal usually do, but have squandered a fair amount of talent over the last 5 years and have stalled the development of a lot of very decent, albeit not necessarily Arsenal level, talents due to poor loan strategy, keeping players at a level below their talent for too long and only showing a semblance of foresight for S-tier talents in fear of losing them. Their A-tiers and B-tiers have had to either leave early (Heaven/Cozier-Duberry etc) or end up at a much lower level because they played U21s for too long (Rosiak a perfect example).

Dan Casey - one of our best performers at U18 level last season and top scorer - just joined Palace because the contract we offered him was a complete afterthought. He was the top scorer and a very good player. Sure, he's no Dowman, but could we not have come up with a plan for him?

Chelsea might overstep the line in their dealings but in lieu of everything I outlined, families choosing them makes sense. Even Emmanuel Eboue's son plays for them now after spending time at Hale End and he's one of their better talents.

That’s just poor. The fact we can’t attract the top talents because we simply too stingy is poor. The amount of money Liverpool saved with Rio is crazy

El Mala is by the way the next big thing in Germany.

Brighton was after him this summer, but Cologne was able to extend his contract until 2030. But we will need to be there until he moves to a bigger club (probably already next summer).

Seconded. But I'm sure the new manager would want to have his own choice brought in first. We'll just have to wait & see.

We are second in the league with an unlucky loss and have the best goal difference in the league.

It’s not always greener on the other side. Don’t try to fix a machine that isn’t broken. This team will be even scarier once it starts clicking.

The management and owners have finally given us the squad to compete for every competition.

In the end, it all depends a bit on luck to see whether we can win some prizes.

When it comes to the squad we really only need to upgrade the left wing situation.

Getting rid of Martinelli and Trossard should be the priority while signing a new player who can offer something different to Eze.

Pace, power, technique and workrate with that x-factor is what I want. There's literally only a couple of players who can give us that at the moment, and who will be available: Antoine Semenyo.

He really made his name in the league last season and has started the new season in fine form. He literally checks every box. Two-footed, plays equally well on both the left- and right wing, quick, strong, works hard and can both score and create a goal out of nothing.

The only negative things about him is AFCON, a new contract (high price) and a relatively low amount of games at top level, but as he's a bit of a late bloomer that might not be a bad thing as it might mean he can play at a high level well into his 30's.

If Semenyo isn't the one I'd love Antonio Nusa. He's built a bit like a twig, but he's a lot stronger than he looks. The only worrying thing about him is his fitness issues, but damn he's an amazing talent.

Arsenal Quotes

I think without doubt that Bergkamp is the most talented player to have played for Arsenal in the past 30 years, for as long as I can remember
