Alvaro who at La Liga scores 2 from 9 full match minutes last season and 3 from 11 full match minutes this season, eventhough he is shooting 3.25 shots per 90, big no imo, he need to score more at least twice his current goal rate.
He’s 6’4. Surely that should count for something

I don't know the player at all, but what do you think of Pio Esposito from Inter ? I liked what i saw from him against us he looks a real threat and is only 20 years old, i think he is one to watch

Lewandowski. Offer Barca 20 mil & give him a 2 year deal. Don’t care about his age, get me someone that knows how to score snd has presence. Hopefully can teach the rest of them a thing or two.

Try and shift Jesus this week then move Merino up top permanently until Havertz can go.

Then it’s a case of signing an emergency midfielder this window which is much easier than signing a forward.

I like what I have seen of him, have always been highly rated along with his brother but the latter tailed off when he got older.

Another name to look out for is Viktor Dadason. Impressed with what I have seen of him. The new Gudjohsen

We were linked once upon a time. Actual decent finisher IIRC. Dunno if he's Arteta's cuppa but he's alright.

I actually might double down on the Alvaro Rodriguez take. I do remember him being quite highly rated when he was at Madrid but haven't seen him make much waves until the last few months for Elche. Very much the kind of forward Arteta would like to have IMO. Big dude, wins everything in the air, can dribble and run channels, does all that other Havertz-esque bullshit that he wants his CF to do but crucially he actually looks like he can shoot. Still pretty young and undercooked but a perfect pre-breakout signing.

Think Isak at Sociedad.
Has now scored against Real Madrid and Barcelona this season. Building good stock 🔥

This guy is definitely coming to the PL next season. Doing really well in ligue 1 after arriving from the Czech. I can see him replacing Bruno at united

Just sell Nørgaard next season because he won't be playing under Arteta.
Get a powerhouse which can play 6 and 8 role. My guess: Amadou Onana from Aston Villa. Can press, can pass, strong, tall as **** and even technical enough with his height.

Also would love some talents like a Yan Diomande for the wing, Eli Junior Kroupi for the striker position and Ayyoub Bouaddi from Lille as a holding midfielder/8.... 3 big talents.

And if we would like our yearly new centre back, I would go for Tylel Tati from FC Nantes. 18 years old, 1,92m high and left footed aswell.

And maybe Arsenal should also have a look at some free agents upcoming year... Some great value players with a lot of experience are free agents after this year:
Goretzka, Bernardo Silva, Brandt, Vlahovic, Stones, Mingueza, Kessie, Pellegrini, Marmol, Christensen, Lewa, Bilal Nadir, Guerreiro, Emre Can, Koke, Carvajal.

Some probably are washed, but some could defo give experience & even more squad depth like a Brandt, Goretzka or a Vlahovic

Thinking about the attack and the upcoming window.

Disappointing that Yildiz has re-signed as I thought he made a lot of sense to upgrade the 1st XI. Who does that leave for the LW targets? Obviously we should try all the same, but I feel the big fish winger, i.e. Barcola etc, might not be available. Gordon is too similar to Martinelli and I would rather not pursue.

Diomande looks like the guy that we should go for, to me, but it sounds like he could be pretty expensive. Then you have your lesser proven talents like Fofana, Nusa, Godts, Bahoya, Toure, El Mala etc. There is probably a few others floating around in Ligue 1 and La Liga.

Is the lesser proven, 'ready to explode' player the right way to go? I think Diomande is the guy but, annoyingly, I just am not sure I can see us go after a guy like that. Mikel seems too rigid in his thinking when it comes to the attack. I hope Berta can have some good input there and get someone like Diomande across the line.

As for the rest of the attack, it is looking like Kai might be best utilised playing off the striker. Jesus seems a pretty simple sell to me, leaving Gyokeres as the lone striker. I would look to add a younger guy with the scope of taking over the starting mantle at some point next season. Kroupi looks great and I would totally cop, but I enjoyed the shout of someone else in this thread that mentioned Alvaro Rodriguez. Wont pretend to know much about him but I have watched a few youtube vids and read a few threads on him. Ex Real Madrid and a good athlete for his size with a reasonably tight dribble that can get his shots away. Think we play better with that bigger target man as a reference point and he could fit that bill for not a huge outlay.

I initially thought some younger guys would have made sense, but honestly looking at the way the team is set up now, I think a younger inexperienced guy may really struggle to make an impact. Not to say any of the guys you mentioned arent talented players, but paying at this level against low blocks every game in an Arteta system is an extreemly tall order for most players. Look at the struggles guys like Eze, Gyok and Nwaneri have had in recent months.

I think we need to just ride the wave with this team and manager for the next few years. Target guys like Osimhen, Alvarez, Williams, Rodrygo, Tonali ect and try to win as much as possible.

Onana is a good shout. Can see Mikel seeing him as an option if Tonali isnt achievable.

I think Gordon and Tonali are pretty serious additions, but dont see us being able to prise players away from newcastle
