I think at this point him is better than Gomes but in one or two years I don’t know. Both are great players. What I like a lot from Gomes is his ability to dribble and scape from pressing. And he is very good defensively also. I think he is a player that can rotate with MLS. If you ask me i think it’s obvious Zubimendi can’t start and I don’t even know if he can rotate with Rice. If he can deal with pressure and at the same time he can’t distribute the ball with creativity he is a big problem for us when we have possession and then he should be sold. There are at least 3 o 4 great options better than him in this, Gomes, Fernandes and Wharton.

Joao Gomes, he is a great player from wolves. I liked him a lot when I watched the wolves. Very complete midfielder.

Atlético is interested but I don’t see anything is already closed. About his game, I think he is not bad with the ball, on the contrary, he is better than Zubimendi on the ball. Yes he is combative but he still has that Brazilian close control and dribbling you don’t see regularly on combative midfielders. He is going to be like Guimaraes or even better because he is more mobile and technical with the ball.

I'm a Wolves fan and I've been saying Joao will end up at a top club for a couple of years now. If anything I think he will be better in a better team. One fault he has is that he tries to do too much, I think with better players around him that urge may fade away.

He has an excellent attitude, is a great lad and comes across extremely well in interviews.

There weren't many to choose from! It has been a horrible season, hopefully we can bounce straight back up.

I was actually gutted that game as I knew Arsenal needed the points more than Wolves at the time.
