The Wish List

If I was Wenger I'd be adding a central midfielder, a creative midfielder, a wide player and a goal scorer while getting rid of a player in each of those areas. (Diaby, Rosicky, Arshavin, and Bendtner for example)

we need a leader and we need one pretty badly - schweinsteiger, de rossi, or senna would improve us far more than any wonder winger would

Mascherano was surpisingly calm on the ball wasn't he? He also knows the PL very well. If Barca are looking to cash in we should definitely have a look.

He wasn't nearly as bad, or as detrimental as I thought he'd be.

Out: Denilson, Rosicky, Bendtner
In: Banega/Javi Martinez, dynamic deep playing midfielders who are technical and strong.

A strong and pacey winger/striker type like Loic Remy or Balotelli.

Players who have true grit.

Mascherano's problem is that he has no range of passing and his vision/awareness is not the best.

He's not nearly as bad as some here were suggesting, they thought he'd be giving the ball away left and right once you pressed him.

Out/Sell: Rosicky, Denilson, Bendtner, Fabregas (obviously do not want this, but it is a possibility)

Realistically I'd like a decent DM and a proper back-up for RVP.

We're not going to break the bank, so perhaps ex-goons Flamini or Diarra could come in. I don't have much respect for either, but they would definitely strengthen the midfield. Should Cesc leave we'll need a replacement that will not lower the quality in our midfield too much. Schweinsteiger is the perfect choice in my opinion, and we'd have the cash for the transfer as well.

Quite happy with the defense apart from perhaps Clichy, but I don't think Wenger will change too much there.

A pacey attacker who can play wide and centrally.

A central midfielder who is a natural on the ball, and can consistently make mid to long range passes, whilst also possessing positional nous.

A complete fullback who specializes in attacking play, but is also capable of defending.

Waking up from this dream and realising that Ramsey, JET and that Croatian RB we didn't buy in January are the only hope in meeting this wish list.

I wouldn't view your last sentence as a negative at all, Outlaw.

There is a very real chance that Bartley, Gibbs (he can't possibly suffer so badly with injuries again!), Lansbury, Ramsey, Ryo, and JET can come into the squad next season and really bring extra quality into the squad in alot of the areas that we need it. There's also the more unknown quantities like Pedro Botelho, Miquel, Frimpong, Coquelin, Wellington Silva, and one or two others.

If we want to continue playing Cesc high up the pitch, we really need another player alongside Wilshere who is incredibly composed and can execute long passes. I'm not even against a Ramsey and Wilshere midfield anymore.

We should start looking at Borussia Dortmund. Tons of intelligent young players in that side. Juergen Klopp has done a fantastic job with them.

As for what I want for next year, I think our starting XI is great. Now all we really need is to get rid of the dead-weight, but I think a lot of those replacements can be done internally.

(Denilson - OUT, Lansbury - IN, Rosicky - OUT, Miyaichi - IN)
One of Coquelin/Frimpong will come back to be Song's deputy. I would keep Diaby for now, because his physicality is an asset against sides that play a rougher game. Same for Bendtner.

Good to see another Nilmar fan. Do you think he could play as lone striker for Arsenal?

Also, why don't you post anymore?

I've really liked the look of Falcao whenever I had a chance to see him. He really is the anti-Bendtner. Very sure in his touch and technical quality of play and not as big and strong as Nick.

If this Falcao guy can play wide, we should take go after him without thinking twice.
