Aguero...

It will be so painful seeing him sign for City or Chelsea.

On Revista just then, they seem to think Perez (Madrid president) wants rid of Higuain.

Yeah, so Higuain.

Would love it if Wenger pulled off some of his magic and brought Aguero to the club, even Liverpool are considering buying him and if they think they have a chance of getting him then surely we should try a cheeky bid.

He's one of the only players who'll be able to replicate the quality that Fabregas offers us. If we do happen to lose our captain, I'd be against replacing him with another creative midfielder. Instead, I'd rather we strengthened the defensive core of the team, which has been our biggest problem since Vieira departed the club. Whilst, adding the offensive quality we require to the forward positions.

Snap decision.

You can buy Aguero for £45M

or

You can buy Goetze and Benzema for a combined £45M

Which do you choose?

You love Goetze, MD, get off his nuts, would you!!! :D

Every time Ive watched him play he's stood out. At this time next year, I think he'll cost £40M!

Also, from the games I've watched him play, a number of things stood out to me.

* Hes used to running the show for Dortmund, playing in the same role Cesc basically plays now. He's not afraid to come deep to collect the ball.

* Like Cesc, he almost always seems to look up right before he receives the ball, and he always seems to have a good idea where he wants the ball to go as he's receiving it.

* His range of passing is very impressive

* He's not afraid to have a shot

* He's not afraid of a challenge or the physical play

Again, I've seen him play like 15 games. Not a huge amount. But as I said, considering his age, I've been hugely impressed with him, and I see him as the perfect replacement for Cesc when the time comes. If the time comes this summer, then okay.

I dont know if its okay to post youtubes, but there are a number of clips of just his actions from games this year

Tough choice, but I'd have to opt for Aguero. He's quite a bit better than Benzema, and I wouldn't want us to sign a direct replacement for Cesc, unless we bought some wide players to stretch the pitch.

Really? I'd take Benzema and Goetze every time. I love Goetze because he play on the flank and through the middle at both a really high level - he can dribble past players just as well as he can pick out passes, and with Benzema I get the feeling that he's just now in the right environment and needs ol'Arsène to wave his magic wand.

Benzema hasn't got anything on Aguero. Obviously, Goetze would make the overall proposition more attractive, but what can I say, Aguero is top of the range and he'd make a better strike partner for van Persie.

I'm not going to open a thread based on the rumour I read, but how good is Sergio Canales? Wish-list worthy?

My limited perception of him is that he was quality when he was the focal point of a 'small' team in La Liga, but when asked to transition to a premier team his class couldn't shine through.

Pass.

He's been totally frozen out by Mourinho though. He's actually a very good player. I liked what I saw of him in the Copa del Rey, and Real are in no position to ask for anything more than peanuts for him considering his status in the squad, but we have enough young central attacking players, yes.

The recent links to Falcao and Benzema pleases me. That's the level we should be aiming for. Not the likes of Gervinho or Gameiro, or any other midtable ligue 1 striker.

Gervinho isn't a midtable Ligue 1 striker, he's a key part of the title winning team.
