The problem with turnips like Winter is that they're viewed as some sort of higher calibre of football journalism.

His attempts to sound humorous are among the driest humour ever written, but the truth is that he is a mediocre writer who is unable to conceal his bias.

If you look at his coverage of United throughout the years, you will see him swooning down for Ferguson to absurd proportions and then using a variety of word salads to defend and make excuses for United's circus from more than ten years ago.
