They are called Referees and they are TERRIBLE

Do you think refs consciously treat Arsenal differently than other teams?

Refs are refs. They’ve always been making mistakes. But I think they’ve improved since VAR. The nature of the rules though, allowing for interpretation, means that even VAR makes some mistakes. It’s just part and parcel of the game.

I don’t think they’ve improved at all. Their mistakes are just more obvious and less excusable now.

Another completely unacceptable big decision going against us.

This is not an excuse for the performance. But there's no chance in hell we win the league even next season with fewer injuries and better performances if so many big decisions continue to go against us.

Ball bounces off Havertz's stomach = handball

Ball clearly hits elbow = no handball

Pretty much what you expect from PGMOL. But the league season is so dead at this point I can't really muster up the energy to be upset at those clowns at this point.

Do people not think that these ridiculous decisions have a psychological impact on players and their future performances? I mean these players are privy to the replays of this events on screen as they were witnessed on the pitch. What happens when they have to rewatch this decision before their next game? I for one know I would definitely be distraught.

It's like, what's the point of playing then!?

Yep imagine the frustration.

Almost all our bad decisions happen in reverse as well for us like the above hand ball examples and other red cards which happen only to us. This is like double downing on us.

There’s just no reasonable explanation for VAR not to rule that out. Either they took a nap in the VAr room or they have an agenda

It was a foul, an elbow and offside. Caught between the three options to disallow the goal, VAR (referee who upgraded Saliba's yellow to a red in the corresponding away fixture) chose instead to allow the goal!

We should refuse to do the guard of honour and put forward the referees as the most apt candidates - they have been crucial, indispensable to Liverpool's title win. Couldn't have done it without them.

It’s effectively allowing a goal that drags us right back in a top 5 battle. To allow that could potentially cost us astronomical money. Disgracia

I really wonder how the clubs legal team look at all of this

Whose fault is that? Arteta and his pathetic meek tactics where we sit on one goal leads.

We deserve to have lost that game with or without VAR’s intervention. Football like this should not be rewarded

No we did deserve that, as the goal was not a goal. It has nothing to do with our inability to score
