• To all AM members and guests.

For the start of the new season, Arsenal Mania has relaunched the news side of the site. All articles are written by genuine Arsenal fans with no hidden agenda. You can visit the site via the menu at the top of the forum pages or go direct to our homepage

Additionally, Arsenal Mania is now sending all its registered members a bi-weekly Briefing Bulletin containing a digest of news and views from both parts of the site. Some of you may have already received the first edition and those that haven't should do so before the big kick off against United. If you are a guest visitor to this forum then if you join as a member, you will automatically receive the Bulletin.

Please support both these initiatives and help ensure the long term future of our site.

You may discuss this in the thread

They are called Referees and they are TERRIBLE

Do you think refs consciously treat Arsenal differently than other teams?

So many classics to choose from my man

I am the hope of the universe. I am the answer to all living things that cry out for peace. I am the protector of the innocent. I am the light in the darkness. I am truth. ALLY TO GOOD, NIGHTMARE TO YOU

Saw the interview with Anthony Taylor. Can't believe the abuse he gets.

There is definitely something wrong with people who are constantly blaming referees for every loss. It goes on here all the time.
Agreed, but didn't he also say VAR make mistakes? It really shouldn't be possible when they have access to replays and slow mo to be making some of the comical errors that go on.

How cheap it is to say that VAR makes mistakes. Yeah... "Video Assistant Referee". Sure... people make mistakes, but unless you're completely drunk at work, you’ve got plenty of time to rewind those videos and have a whole group discussion about whether that toenail is on the right or wrong side of that imaginary line someone pulled out of a hat.

Anyone who feels sorry for or defends refs, are absolute bellends.

The ones that are good you never hear about, it's the ones that are useless corrupt ****s (that seemingly are also se***l freaks in their private life, is that who you WANT to actually be sticking up for ffs) that deserve everything they get.

Bunch of w8nkers they are.

Julien Laurens who’s a Football Corespondent, said on ESPN FC podcast the other day that Howard Webb called him after a recent ESPN FC show where Julien and the team hammered the PGMOL for the Chelsea v Fulham game.

Howard Webb called to say what they said were harsh and tried to protect the PGMOL and had that “cmonnn Jules go softer on us” kind of vibe.

This doesn’t show anything new, it merely confirms the fact that Howard Webb has adopted a technique of trying to get key people and groups (journalists, pundits, media stations) on his side to cover up he and the PGMOLs ineptitude.

Instead of taking any accountability for his governing or the PGMOLs decisions, he decides to just take the damage control // narrative control route. I have never been so confident that someone should be losing their job + an organisation should be broken down into a powder before.

Arsenal Quotes

Robert Pirès was a fabulous player, world-class, and for a few years, before his injury, he was unquestionably the best left-midfielder in the world by far. He had incredible technique, he was smart, a finisher. He was a killer with a smile, the gentlest man in the world who suddenly drive the ball exactly where it was needed.
