They are called Referees and they are TERRIBLE

Do you think refs consciously treat Arsenal differently than other teams?

I've read last few days, Anthony Taylor has been criticised big time about his performance in the London derby about his bookings for our players compared to their players who came to play something other then football, letting their players with worse challenges getting away with it so much. Also for his added time he put on in the game with all the stoppages their were. So he should have been slammed for both. Cucurella deserved to get a 2nd yellow technically sent off too.

In regards to the stoppage time issue, nothing about the recent game though, is it worth having a seperate guy off the field like the 3rd official is, doing the time like the referee who's in charge of the stoppage time completely then he lets the referee know close to time or just holds the board up then everyone sees it, ref will too & he's then got completely nothing to do with it, just adds that time on with his watch. Say it's 8 minutes, he'll play to 98 minutes on his watch. There is another idea I thought of, I don't follow Rugby but it's what Rugby does is nothing at the end, just pauses the time during stoppages then just starts again when he's ready to play on etc.?

This is too sensible and takes away the option to use it as a tool to manipulate games

Interesting about the VAR commentary

I remember the Martinelli challenge. He and Matoma actually high fived after that and Martinelli was out injured for a while. I've always said he is a dirty, dirty player

Your solution for the stoppage time
What do you mean as too manipulative anyway? It will stop so much criticism as certain referees wanting certain teams to win, thats 1 way referees would be able to stop/have to stop certain teams of winning & not be able to themselves. I remember back in Sir Alex's times when referees clearly wanted United to win & ironically got more stoppage time then there should have been, so many times United found a way to win ironically.

Yes, good old 'Fergie time'. City and Liverpool are modern day beneficiaries.

My sarcasm is not translating...you are correct, your idea would eliminate the criticism over stoppage time overnight. But PGMOL would never do it because they like to be able to manipulate matches, is what I am saying.

I see what you mean, yes there will always be certain teams the referees & PGMOL's want to win so I guess any of this will never have a chance of happening I'd say. Obviously you'd want that stuff to be tried aswell but we'll (anybody) will never have a chance of it happening. It's disappointing there is so much corruption in a game & probably always will.

It makes we wonder aswell, we (Arsenal) are 1 of the big clubs in the EPL even in Europe but the match officials never seem to want us to win the league again unfortunately. At least when we do again though we'll be able to say ourselves that we deserved to because we did it ourselves. We didn't win it corruptly in anyway like Liverpool & City will every time.

Also, this saga thats been going on for years about all City's 115 charges, the official final decision should have been made by now, if it was us, I bet it would have been done ages ago & we'd have either been relegated or deducted so many points.

What in god’s name was that penalty against Sp**s 😂 Newcastle effect again.

Surely PGMOL and Webb aren’t gonna be trying to gaslight the PL customers over that one as well. Have some shame!
