There’s a lot of people in this thread with their heads in their hands last night.

Oh dear, imagine thinking that the refs are biased against Arsenal football club instead of just being inept at times. Last night was really their chance to show it and they handed us the title in one momentous moment. Let’s delete this thread for the embarrassment that it is.

No calls this season have baffled me that I can recall. That does not mean it didn’t happen last year multiple times, roughly 6 unprecedented calls still not seen again.

This narrative that the foul on Raya holding his arms down is foolish though. That was a normal call the ref should always make and bringing up players wrestling in the box is also not the same thing as holding a keeper’s arms.

Same with the Kai call. It was similar to the MLS incident before which got the refs flayed in the press and they came out with an apology. Kai was very dumb here, even though there was zero force in it… studs showing that high on a player was dumb by Kai. Still doesn’t mean it was reckless or endangering. We’ve seen worse not called regularly, even from players on a second yellow not getting a yellow card for it… happens all the time, people don’t cry a tenth as much.

But this season, I can’t complain about the calls. So I’m not.

It was quite high from Kai and studs were showing, but as you say there was little force, so VAR probably got it right. BUT that could easily have been given as the whole thing is down to interpretation.

Like the decision against Raya, yet another interpretation that rightly came out in our favour at a crucial time of season. So this thing about PGMOL/refs having an agenda against Arsenal is total bollocks. The whole thread is an embarrassment.

I've seen those challenges not given as a red all season and they usually had way more force than Havertz did. I think in this instance the lack of force saved Havertz because that is taken into account in determining serious foul play.

Additionally Khusanov has been getting away with at least one DOGSO challenge a game for weeks now so miss me with the crying rivals.

I guess manh posters on here have a lot of friends in real life that are fans of Chelsea, United, City, etc and are desperate to impress them for one reason or other. Then they take this behavior here also. Maybe their friends know their handles.

I think 2 thoughts can be true in the same time. I think havertz should be red, is it clear and obvious no. There is also a clear pen that I saw that for me is clear and obvious but have just seen it a couple of times on my phone so can’t judge fully.

What is hurting the football community is to never admit an error in their favor. As when city fans says Dukos kick on Macallister is nothing wrong for instance.

So to be able to say when i call is wrong in our favour I think is very important.
