surely Phil Neville deserves his place after all of his performances from last and this season..he has been superb in central midfield along with Roy..a complete transformation and made a huge improvement from previous seasons and is looking more and more solid every game he plays...And even when he has performed for England RECENTLY(as I know everyone will go back to the penalty he gave away at Euro 2000) he has not put a foot wrong so i don't see anything wrong in him being in the international squad..

From a neutral perspective, since I dun really support any international team, just watch it for the love of football.

To say that only france have a better squad is a bit over the bar. WHat is so special about England's squad? They do not score very well, they drew with turkey, macedonia Etc and they recently lost to the Danes at home.

I wouldnt view England as one of the contenders at all. The furthest they would go would be quarter finals. Unless Sven Erikson can drop Heskey and bla bla bla ... loads of other options and with a bit of luck, they can reach the quarter finals ... well ... and with tons of luck, they'll win it ... it all depends ..... never say never in soccer.
