Spain, Italy and Holland all have superior squads. England have one of the better defences with some great midfielders who can make a difference though. But up front i'd say England havn't reached a level anywhere near the other nations.

I reckon England should be able to win it to be honest, only France have a better squad.

France and Italy will be again the ones to beat. If Portugal/Spain/Holland get it all together then they will no doubt be a threat. As a neutral I rank England on the same level as Portugal, Spain and Holland... because even if they don't have the players of the likes of Holland and Spain, I think they're better as a team. England have only lost one competitive match (which was to the World Champions in a close battle!) so don't underestimate them.

to give one reason that england won't win because they lost to denmark is bull, how many changes did we make, that wasn't the strongest team, england have too many world class individuals, not to be considered as a threat.

Spain and Holland have great squads ,, as they have had over the last decade.. yet Holland didnt even make it to the WC and Spain are prennial underacheivers.. sometimes having a great squad doesnt mean a team will always go far... many people criticize the Brazil/ Germany squads yet they always seem to get themselves in the semis of major tournaments

johnson, terry, campbell, cole
gerrard, beckham, scholes, dyer
owen, rooney

this might be sven 11st eleven.. though i hope that lampard gets to play.. he's quality.. ferdinand might not be able to play with a ban looming over his head.. though i think that smith is better than rooney at the moment and more experienced.. rooney could be a sort of supersub though..

Arsenal Quotes

I was receiving offers from many other clubs and declining them all, even the most tempting ones. Juventus, Real Madrid, PSG contacted me, Bayern, France, England...I am happy to have been able to say no to more glory, more money, and to have been guided only by the idea of loyally serving the club. I had knitted myself a soul in Red and White.
