Thomas Partey: Body Falling Apartey

Mans invisible on the pitch, and when he does show up it's usually to shoot from 35 yards or give away possesion. Honestly worried about his form now.
Time to drop him and give AMN a chance.

They told us he was ‘world class’ when he came, not so sure about that now. He has all the tools to be a quality player, but so far he’s not living up to the hype at all.

1 tackle doesn't make a good player. He can't tackle. How often do you see midfielders just glide past him. That happening is not knowing when/how to make the tackle. He is rubbish.

Combine him and Pepe and that was 125m outlay and the team is worse. Liverpool got VVD and Allison for that.

We also paid Partey top whack on wages to convince him to sign. We should now start convincing him that Spain is a much better suit for him and try to recoup something. Though on 200k a week a doubt it will happen.
Almost every player seems to have a sudden catastrophic decline in their ability to play football once they have been coached long enough by Arteta.

Let's wait till we have a competent manager before selling Partey, Auba, Pepe etc in a fire sale.

He looks disinterested.

Arsenal does have a habit of sucking the life out of talented players. Or maybe it’s just ****ing Arteta and the rigmarole of having to play in his team.

Partey is just a slightly better version of Diaby, people nowadays say that Diaby could have been a world class player but conveniently forget how once upon a time he sucked so much that he made Denilson look good in comparison. But Diaby was exceptionally good at one thing: collect the ball from deep and running with it for a while before passing to someone. That is the only thing Partey is good at too and what he should be limited to doing every match. The further up the pitch, the more useless he becomes. Unfortunately there are fools who think Partey is Vieira and should be doing the job of 2 midfielders, and Arteta is one of those fools.

Diaby was completely destroyed by injuries.

im no fan of Arteta but the back 5 in general have performed well enough under Arteta.

Saka and ESR have performed well. So that's 7 out of 11 players. Sambi has done OK. Partey isn't good enough. Good players especially CM make their mark on the game.

Partey was never that good at Atletico hence why the big 2 never wanted him. He looked good in a defensively solid team that was well drilled. Not Arsenal football or style. Him and Pepe signing have been shocking.

Yeah he's poor, sorry folks.

Think I've written him off until whenever the next manager comes maybe they can get him to work out but his Arsenal career to date is a bust.

Diaby really lives rent free in the head of so many people who don't understand how good he was and how much better he could've been. Comparing Diaby and Partey is so lazy too, and then throwing Viera into the mix just to complete the ****post. Great stuff.

Actually looked decent in that brief stage in the second half when we were attacking.

I'm actually not worried about him, he's confidence is clearly rock bottom and is badly coached. He'll be fine in the long term, I've seen enough of him to know there's a quality player in there.

The defenders have done well mainly because we place so much emphasis on containing the opposition, overly cautious with committing players forward etc. We basically have sacrificed all attacking intent to look solid at the back, which gives the illusion that we are defending well. Even then we just about manage to keep out the likes of Norwich and Burnley. As soon as we come up against any decent side none of our defenders (apart from maybe Tomi) look anything special, We get ripped to bits.

Saka is perhaps in the worst form he has been since he broke through (which could be because he has played too much football lately). ESR is probably the only player who has improved significantly. Tomi, Sambi, Ramsdale have just started playing for us, we can't say if they have improved or declined yet.

Bad situation for us with partey. He wont settle and adapt this season when we need him the most. No guarantee he will next season which at that point we may well have no european football and be unable to attract good players. He will be moving into late 20s and his resale value will be dropping like a brick.

Seems his song is actually played in the stadium, that's so funny.

Opposition must be having a laugh when they hear "man got pace bro like zum zum zum" and then get to just run rings around him.

He shows glimpses of what he can be every now and again. I think it’s a mental thing. He’s overdoing/under doing a lot of simple stuff.

Should be getting fined for those long range shots. They literally aren't even on and he throws the leg at it. Seems a very unintelligent footballer.

Passing shocking. Put a ball over the top 24 min to nobody and there now 92nd min into space with no one running into. Not even close.
