Luis Dias should be embarrassed of himself. Getting locked up by an uncle with 6 kids back home in his village, and he couldn't beat him once is sad. Well done to Partey for turning back the years though.
Why do people act like he's old and can barely move? I think people want him to be less mobile than he actually is. He's no different to Rice or Merino, he might even be more robust than Merino.

Uncle deserves massive credit for the shift he put in at RB. Didnt think he had that performance in him at RB. Only beaten once by Diaz.

Has been excellent in recent weeks, one of our best performers this season. Quite the surprise but then again 31 isn't as old as A-M would have you believe.
After the Sp**s game they were acting like it was a huge achievement for Jorginho and Partey because they were old, like do people really think Maddison and Bentacur are better players and that 31 is old?

So many people just don't understand football outside of pace and power, even then they have no idea. I always look like a contrarian simply because I'm not stupid and don't parrott other people.

Btw Partey looked is more mobile than Merino who is at least a threat from set pieces . Which is a good thing. i bet Thomas Partey's spotify is fire. Not Partey like a Thomas...i will be banned so i will leave it at that.

He wouldn't get credit on here if he discovered a cure for cancer mate. You'd just get people posting "I'd rather die than take that drug"

I watch the PL. What other aspects are there to football apart from pace, power and physical size.

Football intelligence, positioning, reading of the game, robustness, short passing, long passing, finishing, heading. Usain Bolt would have been the best player in the world in your logic.

If he bothered to stay fit last tow seasons our chances for title increase is shame the guy spent his peak years injured because the guy is top quality when fit. Not sure if that was his fault not taking care of his fitness or just unlucky

You really think in todays game someone can afford to not take care of his body at a club like ours? It’s more likely a combination of bad luck and the work load the club puts on him because there weren’t any issues at Atl. Madrid.

Merino can't be worse than what Partey has produced for us since singing for us can he?

As for Jorginho short distance passing , long passing, vision, first touch, ball retention, weighted passes, positional awareness- Jorginho is clearly levels above in these areas.
I am interested in your take after yesterday's game.

It's something we struggle with here in America especially. So much emphasis on speed, shooting and dribbling and very little on decision making, spatial awareness, control and passing.

Here's what Istated in the MOTM thread.

Partey - Had my concerns playing our CM with the worst positional play at fullback which is attribute that is the most vital for this position. However outside the first goal were he gave VVD too much space and was fault for. Around the 50 minute mark Diaz burnt him and nutmegged him. Other than these two mistake Partey was very good. Including a vital block denying Jones a goal scoring chance.

He was absolutely insane against Liverpool I had no idea he still had that in him. What a performance.

Btw been our best midfielder and it's not even been close for the season so far. Apparently he's washed, though.

That last year of contract boost has hit him harder than a patch of of maximum strength snus to the brain.

He’s become injury free and Mr Reliable.

Arsenal Quotes

In June 1996, David Dein, Peter Hill-Wood and Danny Fiszman came out to Nagoya to meet me on behalf of Arsenal. Within an hour we came to an agreement. The Japanese directors didn't try to keep hold of me in the usual way but talked with persuasive arguments... But as far as I was concerned, the decision was taken. Arsenal. A decision that would change my life.
