They have no money. Until the early 2000s they were the richest league with two Spanish clubs dominating transfers. Remember the Baggio and Fat Ronaldo super team at Inter? Kaka and Sheva at Milan. Italian football is generally dull and tactical they get no foreign tv money like EPl
I know. Serie A used to be the place to be.

I think the biggest mistake they've made was to never invest in infrastructure. Just look at their stadiums. Juventus has a new stadium and I think Roma are planning build one now, but all the others still look like they did in 1990 when they hosted the World Cup.

As a neutral i started regularly being able to watch European club football in early to mid 90s. After a few years i stopped watching anything but big derbies in Italy. They just as a football country favor and drill defensive and tactical approach. Why Barca and Real still have global appeal and Italians don’t.

Also another reason i stopped was the corruption. The EPl better watch itself with the open conflict of interest of their officials to the gulf royal families. Italy never recovered credibility after AC Milan and Juve were relegated for bribery. The EPl doesn’t need to dig, they are openly on the petrosheiks payroll and getting fat hard to account perks

Not to mention none, save Juve's, are even owned by the clubs but the municipalities in which the stadiums are based!!

How can they expect to compete for transfers when they have no matchday revenue streams?!!

Is he really injured? Not sure why he'd want to leave sitting on his ass earning top dollar. It's not like he lost his place by Arteta's choice.
His contract will be expired in the summer 2025. This season he will rule out until December. After that he will leave for AFCON, im sure he will get injured again after that. We have to sell him asap.

This makes Havertz's transfer even more frustrating because Rice could've been brought in to slowly phase Partey out this season had we had an out-and-out number 8.

Partey could've taken Jorginho's role, but instead, he was marching up and down playing RB in some Areta's makeshift formation and broke down. Now we need another midfield rebuild.

They could have had a disagreement about playing rb maybe. Cause he's playing for Ghana in 2 weeks time regardless of what Arsenal say regarding fitness lol.

Partey at his age ain’t gonna walk away from his contract and take huge pay cut. Most realistic option is Arsenal loan him out next season and someone cover his wages

Love it

I wanted him gone in the summer for 2 reasons but I was pushed back on as if I wanted us to sell Saka.

Now what I predicted has come to fruition and everyone is on board

A lot of people wanted to sell him in the summer. I was more on the fence because I didn’t want to lose xhaka AND partey in the same window, but unfortunately Partey returned to his old ways before last season in terms of fitness.
