Was at fault for Leicester breaking into space and winning that free kick which gave them the goal.

Otherwise looked alright. Needs to look over his shoulder more before making very high risk passes, because that is what teams are hoping for.

There’s no high risk or reward to his passing anymore. It went two years ago. He is just caught woefully out of position these days time after time.

I mostly meant his ability to do little shuffles and turns and cutbacks to beat a pressing player and open up a midfield. Jorgi is press resistant but he's mostly about retaining the ball against a press vs actually breaking the press like Partey can occasionally do. To me that's really the only thing be offers over Jorginho at this point. To me his sloppiness outweighs that benefit but I can see why it might be valuable while Ode is out.

I thought he was okay especially in attack. He just doesn't have the speed in his legs anymore. He played some good one touch stuff on the edge of the Leicester box and if injury had allowed Rice to be a conventional double pivot, those give aways would be less of an issue. The intent behind the passes shouldn't be dismissed despite the poor execution as that's what will put us on the front foot if we get it right. He'll be gone in the summer and we'll need to replicate the good stuff he brings. He can't start to mentor MLS as soon as possible.

The last 2 season's he's clearly been off the pace. He's started this season better but he's playing for his next contract either here or elsewhere, so upping his game this season to put himself in the shop window. His form will drop off next year, much like Özil and Alexis did after they got new deals.

He'll be back up anyway when Merino and Ødegaard are back. Either Lewis Skelly takes his position as back up or we bring a new player in. The player we bring in probably won't be top tier because we have our starters. I wonder if we could land Zubimendi although City could take him in January.

They won't be giving him new contract he earn 200k and start to lose by his physical strength as midfielder.

He leaving as free agent and Jorginho likely taking coaching role even tho it's early to retire the guy can still do the job in other league like serie a

Absolutely would not renew at all.

If we need a midfielder it’s an actual 6. Ethan’s development along with Merino will mean if he goes we’ll be fine.

Sign Ricci, Zubi, Hjulmand or Wharton and let’s get cooking.

think we'll target more all rounded midfielder next season Wharton fall into this but Crystal Palace will ask for big fee. Ricci unsure he top club quality Zubi train has passed. i would target Joao Gomes of Wolves or Ederson the atalanta midfielder

What i dont like is that people will say he was decent or fine if his performance wasn't a complete mess. I dont think he was decent or fine yesterday.

Ricci looks good man and wouldn’t be that expensive surely? I do rate Ederson as well tbf.

Nah I'd rather let him go on a free at end of the season and give jorginho another year

Why? one is a starting midfielder right now (due to injuries partly but still, he's doing fine) and holds his own while the other is too slow, gets shoved off the ball too easily when he plays.

Jorginho can play a pass but he's not cut anymore for PL football. Partey on the bench with a pay cut would be best.

He's not taking a paycut to stay here. He gets to go to the Saudi League as a free agent, for example.

Let him leave on a free and either promote one of the kids like MLS or get someone else in. There's no point in keeping him and Jorginho once their contracts are done.

He doesn't have 90 minutes at top level in him anymore. As an emergency backup or part time squad player he'd be fine. But he'll have to accept a massive pay cut for that.
We'll see if he really likes the club, or if he likes money more. I wouldn't blame him if prefers one last big payday. Football careers are short and you have to get what you can.

From a purely cynical business perspective you could understand why Arsenal stuck with him; in form he was a top player, hugely important and hard to replace, at a time where Arsenal were turning things around in a competitive sense.

There's zero justification for keeping him around anymore, much less giving him a new contract. There isn't even sporting reason anymore, his current version is easily replaced.

Arsenal are the most beautiful club in England. At Man City and Chelsea, they will never have that class and style.
