Arteta is the ultimate hoarder, played him virtually every minute he could, he extended jokers like Elneny and wanted to do the same with Mustafi. How anyone thought we wouldn't do it here is beyond me.

Don't think it makes much difference at this point, guy racked up thousands of minutes since and was on match day programmes, what's another extension.
Exactly, playing the moral game now would be embarrassing. The club made a decision straight away. We don’t care about the allegations. So only decision regarding his future should be about football. And extending him and signing another midfielder is the way to go

It’s been like 3 years a bit too late to be outraged by now.

We'll see what gonna happen but if he end up staying I hope he can agree to stay on his current salary he already earning too much

If it's short term deal, it makes sense to improve his salary.
Like in the NBA, players who take shorter deals also get more money.
He agrees to a short deal but he gets a bit more.

In the books it doesn't make a huge difference.

Fantastic news, he's been superb this season.

And about his off field issues, it's been too late to be really concerned about it. Either we got rid of him and didn't play him when it broke out, either you extend him because it would be criminal not too after this season.

Was on Vinai's payroll; misses 4th place trophy 🏆

If he can keep fitness level like this season then 2 years deal make sense but Thomas always worry me even tho this season he didn't miss a game and this season fixture was heavy lol

You’d think next season with Zubi he won’t play as much naturally.

He's been the best 6 in the prem this season, one of the best in europe, showed his class in CL football. You can't afford to not take the risk to lose him for free, imo.

The gamble is worth it. He might just had his best season in an arsenal shirt.

Arsenal Quotes

Arsenal is in my blood as well as my heart. I will always, always, always remember you guys. I said I was going to be a Gooner for life and I did not lie because when you are a Gooner, you will always be a Gooner. This club is in my heart and will remain in my heart forever.
