Needs to be the end of him for a myriad of reasons. I hope the folks at the club recognize that.

With our resources and pull there is absolutely no reason an ambitious club should be keeping him on this isn’t a young player.

Even if he had no myriad of reasons, we min/maxed our keepers we should do the same for midfield.

Precisely. Let's also not forget he has 1 healthy season in his Arsenal career and it's this contract season. Everything points to him immediately turning into Tomi the moment the ink dries and that's bad enough if we push aside the other issues around keeping him. No reason for him to be sucking up wages that can go to our new 9 or LW.

literal bs. he was healthy for the majority of first season that we finished 2nd. only injured towards the end of the season, and thats when we fell off and lost the title.

revisionist history at its best

Easy target to blame for everything but you saw the difference in how we dominated PSG today with him playing. Need a player like that at the 6 in the future not a PnP point and shoter guy.
One mistake doesn't hide he had very good season and stayed fit all season. Still he really shouldn't try to dribble in our box. Both our Midfielders mare errors lead to goal yesterday

Which year is his healthiest in our shirt, dummy? This year, a contract year. Nothing revisionist about that.

Ok, 2 years ago he had another outlier of a season in terms of health. So what? 2 relatively healthy seasons out of 5 isn't good either and when the player in question is 32 with that injury record, it's not a great idea to extend them.

That's before we consider the elephant in the room.

Also, you won't find a single Arsenal player who says we lost the league in 22/23 because Partey was missing. They all think it's because Saliba was injured and that's what the statistics show.

Now go play somewhere and don't bother adults again.

He's really good. We need his type for Arteta's football. Can Zubimendi replicate it?
How about we stop playing Arteta's football which causes our players' muscles to fall off the bone?

These stats are incomplete, it doesn't show the days he was drunk.

This is the only valid question. If he can do what TP5 does but without the occasional errors, we'd be cooking in midfield.

Partey is quality at dominating his zone, especially in possession. He allows Rice to play further up the pitch and squeeze opponents.

However, I do feel his defensive deficiencies get overlook by those who rate him very highly. He's slow when we're defending transitions and not the quickest at closing opponents down.

I also think he can be a bit immature at times. He got himself needlessly suspended for the 1st leg v PSG and despite having an overall good game in the 2nd leg, he made two costly mistakes - he shouldn't have put the ball back into the danger zone for the first goal and for the second he was sloppy.

I don't think it's a coincidence that the closest we've come to winning the PL title is when Jorginho was the 6 for most of the 23/24 season. Jorginho may not have dominated his zone like Partey but he's very smart with the ball and helps the team retain control with a high pass volume - his defensive positioning is also underrated. More importantly, he plays like a leader in midfield - like a coach on the pitch.

I think Partey deserves a new deal but I see no reason to sign Zubimendi if we're keeping him. A midfield of Partey, Rice, Merino, Zubimendi and Ødegaard feels like prime Atletico Madrid. I want more creativity!

You really keep him. Yes he made mistakes but so did Saliba, Rice, MLS, ... unfortunately his resulted in a goal (just like the one of Rice).

Replacing Partey and Jorginho in one season is a no go. Should have let Jorginho leave last year, replaced him with someone challenging Partey. But now, you would gamble big time that Zubi can replace Partey and you will need to get another DM or CM because you will need Rice to step in in case of Zubi absence.

We ain't signing 2 CMs so we have to keep him and let Jorginho go

Even if he goes it’s not so bad. With Zubimendi coming in there are enough options and we can move MLS central which is really what I would like to see. Prob means signing another LB which everyone wants.
