• To all AM members and guests.

For the start of the new season, Arsenal Mania has relaunched the news side of the site. All articles are written by genuine Arsenal fans with no hidden agenda. You can visit the site via the menu at the top of the forum pages or go direct to our homepage

Additionally, Arsenal Mania is now sending all its registered members a bi-weekly Briefing Bulletin containing a digest of news and views from both parts of the site. Some of you may have already received the first edition and those that haven't should do so before the big kick off against United. If you are a guest visitor to this forum then if you join as a member, you will automatically receive the Bulletin.

Please support both these initiatives and help ensure the long term future of our site.

Great player when at it, people forget there were discussions between him and Rodri for best DM in the league a few years back.

Things went downhill from there. Still a class player on his day, but too many off days, injuries and other issues arose. Let's hope Zubi hits the ground running, because last year people hoped Merino would be the end of Partey yet he never came close.

Good news.

YB issues aside, too inconsistent and injury-prone, although he was class on his day.

The club was actively and demonstrably working to keep TP5.
Yeah. For all our happiness that he's gone, important to remember that Arsenal were still willing to keep him on board just so they didn't have to sign 2 DMs in one window knowing Jorginho was also leaving. They even started posting him on their X account again instead of hiding him like they were doing before.

I'll say I'm relieved he's gone but happy is a stretch, I'm still quite annoyed with the club and the fact that the player has not been [redacted].

Was the club supposed to suspend the player indefinitely based on a bunch of social media posts? 3 years later have there been any charges brought against him? You can’t just end someone’s career based on allegations. This isn’t a Greenwood situation there simply isn’t that type of evidence.

The very least they could have done is not offer him a new deal at all.

Over the last few years in social media Ive often seen people often state something like 'Man Utd suspended Greenwood' Why didn't <club x> suspend <player x>

That Greenwood story broke on a Sunday. Within a few hours, he was unfollowed on social media by half of his peers and major Man Utd sponsors were lined up to sever their ties with the club. It wasn't like they had a choice.

I will not be sorry to see Partey, go he was getting caught on the ball too often and he did not play that many defence splitting passes while he has been worth us, if anything he was playing a lot of short passes and getting the ball back then passing it back to the same player that he had passed the ball to.

Strange statement he was not a flop at all tbf.

- More bad performances than good performances each season.

- Each season was our performing player in starting 11.

- Can you name a DM with worse positional awareness and discipline than Partey in PL history? I can't

- Countless of mistakes.

- Hyped up to be Vieira/ Yaya hybrid but turned out to Wanyama Level (and that's being generous).

Arsenal Quotes

A team can attack for too long. The most opportune time for scoring is immediately after repelling an attack, because opponents are then strung out in the wrong half of the field. All the men are expected to play to plan, but not so as to stifle individuality
