Yeah, I'm as big a stats nerd as anyone but they're bugging on this one 100%.
The main problem with them isn't just the numbers but apparently he is too old when we need to change the profile of the team to a younger profile. Ted Knutson in particular argues that our midfield is not the problem. He is also a huge fan of both Torreira and Ceballos and thinks that we should instead try to sign the latter permanently because - drumroll - his numbers are good.
We have a plethora of young midfielders at the club already, we can afford to let some go and bring in some more ready made talent who fit a profile we do not have at all in our midfield.
