Tonny Sanabria's next club will be Roma, but he can not join them until next summer, due to limitations on non-European players. [ibtimes]

Arsenal were the only English club that made a genuine approach to sign Sanabria, but there was a problem with his work permit. [ibtimes]

Reading the IBTimes article and their other articles, they’re a load of crap. Sticking with my mind that Sanabria is ours.

Latest on Sanabria, the agent says Sanabria will get a work permit and the article says Arsenal are favourite to sign him.

"His agent Raul Verdu said: 'Our contacts with Arsenal are advanced and I expect a solution in the next week.'"

Thought we heard the same thing from The Mirror last week, or 2 weeks ago.

Actually this is the first time we have heard something from a representative of his camp, this might happen ....

but Holding’s hair transplant was painless
Sell him back in 6 years for 40 million! No harm in this signing. Will admit to having never seen him play though.

Agent Jim says signed. Only person I trust on twitter oother than bbc people. Obvious links to football, got loads of transfers right over the summer.

Agree, pretty reliable. Happy enough with this signing as long as he isn't seen as a solution to our striker shortage for a while. 17 year olds should not be playing for teams with title ambitions.

Would be brilliant if he turns out to be as sucessfull as Fabregas was for us,
Thats assuming that we do get him.

Arsenal must pay €5 million (approximately £3.6 million) in order to sign Antonio “Tonny” Sanabria from FC Barcelona

This bodes well for the future.

MARTINO RUES LOSING SANABRIA TO ARSENAL
Make no mistake, Tonny Sanabria is the real deal - and will prove a real transfer coup for Arsenal boss Arsène Wenger. Tata Martino has only been in the Barcelona job for months, but he quickly recognised the 17 year-old's talent. The Barca coach was desperate not to lose the Paraguayan and actually took it upon himself to not only take Sanabria aside while at the La Masia complex, but also paid personal visits to the family home, urging the youngster and his parents to commit to the new deal they had tabled. Even a guarantee of a shot at first team football later this season wasn't enough for the Sanabria clan and now it appears Barca's loss is Arsenal's gain. Certainly, the 17 year-old will be capable of leading the Gunners line in the future, but his pace and mobility makes him than your typical back-to-goal centre-forward. That Martino fought so hard to convince Sanabria to reverse his decision should have Arsenal fans excited.

I've heard both hit and miss. A year ago people were so happy with the guy but he hit great form recently and looks like he set to leave. Let's see how he develops next few years.

He's highly rated in his homeland, has been capped a few times for the Paraguayan full national team. Him coming here would make him our 3rd choice ST no? 2nd if Bendtner leaves.

I haven't seen a lot of him but he does look like he can finish. If Arsène reckons he's worth a punt he may just surprise us.

Yep sounds definite. One line nearly kills it though

Según el 'Daily Mirror', el Arsenal viajará a Barcelona la próxima semana para tratar de alcanzar un acuerdo definitivo.

Meaning "According to the Daily Mirror, Arsenal will travel to Barcelona to make the transfer definite in one week"
