We're haggling over £2m for Douglas Luiz, you really expect Edu to pull Caicedo out of the hat when Brighton will no doubt ask for at least £70m.

Stick to creating the matchday threads, man

Caicedo is a structured deal.

My sources are telling me that Neymar’s head has been turned by Edu too.

Edit: Mistake it’s Hazard actually.

Villa not in hurry 5 hours to go they secured his replacement at least they know we'll put another offer likely 25m and player want to leave too.

That how things works in deadline we fallen into the trap and need to overpay.
I thought deadline day was supposed to be there for cheap deals.
Aston Villa see they have to sell for cheap now etc..
But then we go and have an injury crisis with both of our 6s out, ok. theres bad luck and maybe a pogba spell

Very likely available and would be a decent pick up

How about highly rated Sander Berge from Championships Shef United? We were linked to him last season.
Loan for a season option to buy ala AMN. Sticking plaster but its a body in the door.

Berge was linked to Liverpool but that went cold quickly. Them signing Melo shows how little quality is available atm.

Tielemans still seems obvious.

Because they know we desperate they'll keep rejecting until last 2-3 hours of window. Maybe by that time our bid will be 25m or more and that mean they done the perfect job
Given that dendoncker is almost confirmed, if they don't sell 1 extra player, won't their wage budget get ****ed?

It’s Edu’s job to be proactive.

A CDM should have been a priority after how last season ended with Partey’s/Tierney’s injuries.

We improved LB back up, but hoped we’d scrape by in midfield. Now it costs us.
Yeah but if there's only say 30-40m in the pot left they had to prioritise. Wide player or CM.

Maybe they were waiting to see what happened. Saka breakdown but Partey and Elneny are fighting fit we move for a wide player. CM problem occurs we move for that. Sometimes you don't get everything you want because the market or budget doesn't allow for it. Sometimes you do.

Liverpool would love Bellingham or Rice. But they can't do it after spending 100m on Nunez. Some say they needed a CM more and Firmino or Jota could play 9. But at the time Klopp and Pool thought number 9 was a priority and midfield was well enough covered.

Now look they have a raft of injuries all in CM at once and they are picking up Melo who most Arsenal fans turned their noses up at. Does it make Klopp and Liverpool incompetent?
