It's our first game back in the CL for years, put out our best side. Take important players off after 60-70 minutes if we're in control.

Players shouldn't be feeling fatigued this early in the season anyway and If they can't get up for the Sp**s match there's something wrong with them.

We've got a good chance to go deep in the CL this season, in a way I'd prioritise it over the PL if I had to choose.

The only problem is that the game afterwards is NLD. If it was an easier game and not a derby rival, the choice would be very clear.

I think a little bit of rotation has to be considered, as some players are injury-prone. And it's not possible to substitute the whole team.

A win is very important to be able to rest later in the group stage. After that next UCL game away against Lens it's City match, so it's more important to rest there. So maybe go totally full strength here. That away game has travel included so it's tougher. A draw from Lens away is not a bad result at that point.

How can one be confident of Zinchenko defending against Johan Bakayoko (same player that Brentford tried to sign) after Zinchenko was cooked home and away vs Marcus Edwards last season (Sporting) ?

Marcus Edwards is 1.68m.

Please play Tomiyasu at LB instead from the start. I'm skeptical of using inversion in Europe.

Intrigued to see how we do in the CL as we've not been great in the Europa over the last few years. Couldn't ask for much of a better chance to get 3 points early on though. 2-0 win I say.

True but tbf I think the fans never really cared about Europa anyway, there's nothing like a CL night and our return will have the team and fans right up for it.

Have to dress a very strong team for this with limited rotation.

We're obviously a stronger side on paper but we're a 9/10 squad in 7/10 'pretty good' form while they're a 6/10 squad in 10/10 form who have started their league season outscoring their opposition 14-1. They will be very tough and full of confidence heading into this.
