When Liverpool are good, they are one of the best there is. If they ever find consistency, they'll be a scary team.

Firmino has transitioned into a properly elite CF over the last few months.

Link up play has always been great but he’s usually a bit weak in front of goal. Even at the start of this season think there was a period where he managed about 1 shot in 3 games.

Been absolutely lethal the last few months. Looks a lot more physically imposing too.

They are fantastic at the moment, absolutely fantastic high intensity approach.

Until teams figure them out, like Dortmund were figured out. You can see a glimpse of Klopp's frailty in his last 5 cup finals.

In football, balance is everything. That is why there remains only one group of Invincibles, and why Guadiola's team are a cut above the rest.

Would be interesting to see Pep and City against strong sides in Europe. He wasn't that great with Bayern at that point.

I see Liverpool are back to being best team in the history of football after beating Sporting from Portugal.
Hyperbole never made anything clearer. The simple fact is they're getting better results in Europe than we're capable of. You can add Sp**s to that too. But that's because we're an inferior team to both of them, so that's the easy explanation. Sad times.

All of Pep's teams were poor in CL away games. They always did the business at home, where they would corner teams and score as much as they needed, but in away games you could see that they're not as balanced defensively as they are offensively. He's similar to Wenger in that sense, although Wenger lost the offensive touch in the last 4-5 years.
That's how he's compensating, by using the cliche, but true, saying " the best defense is a good offense."

When did Real become such a team of divers? They are like Spanish Sp**s, Potch would be right at home there.

I thought Emery made a strange change taking Cavani off. Not sure what justifies playing Mbappe as a lone centre forward apart from his price tag. He has never played that role before and in a game where you need the ball to stick or an aerial presence it made even less sense.

Verrati takes far too many risks on the ball. He is a counter pressing teams dream.

Neymar was clearly playing for himself. There were a few opportunities where he just needed to slide someone in. That's the difference between a truly world class player and a very good one. He lacks humility and Mbappe seems to be going the same way.

You can't play teams in ligue 1 every week and then hope to step it up against they big boys when you are used to.all your little tricks and slack defending coming off. If anything Mbappe has regressed and hasn't looked like he has developed physically in the slightest. At least Madrid have hard teams to play in their league. Psgs barest game is a against a team that has been decimated.

Also. Why don't Arsenal just cough up and by Asensio. Spending £45 million on Malcom doesn't really make sense when you could probably pay his realease clause and entice him away with first team football.

Agree completely.
The lad is a super talent, but his chances at Madrid will always be limited as there will always be another " superstar " Real will be desperate to sign (Hazard? Salah?) that could restrict Asensio's playing time.
If we're getting quoted crazy money for Malcom and Bailey, it would make far more sense for us to try and get Asensio.

Klopp is turning Liverpool in his old Dortmund team pace, creativity and it shows some good prospect.

PSG again thought the sub was wrong with Cavani going off and Alves going to RW stupid decision.

Sort of,but they lost to Real 4-0 at Munich and it was bad performance.Against Barca it was all over in the first leg and they were 2-1 down in Germany with that bad defence.Think that they only had good chance against Atletico in second leg,but they were also poor in Madrid.

Yeah, there are a few exceptions where his game plan doesn't work at home. His teams are very vulnerable on the counter, as we've seen a few weeks ago against Liverpool and the examples from you.
Pep is trying to mask it with faster players that can possibly recover, but it can only take him so far.
