We were saying the same about Harry Kane. After 30 players can dip over night.

Salah on another level higher than Kane imo

Plus he is playing for the best team in the world or one of the top theee, Kane naturally has
Morale problem atm

Different grounds to stand on

League is very weak
It's not like EPL teams didn't get slapped in CL for many years.
Yeah, and PL accepted that La Liga for example is way more better, back then. But in recent years, PL runs football. English teams are dominating CL semi finals and finals in recent years.

Go to Italy Spain or France and you won’t find the same insecurities about where they are in a so called “hierarchy”

British anxiousness at its best

Dusted mentality that lead to Brexit

Why don’t you go and support Auxerre or something?

They have much more money and took all quality from other leagues as well. From players to managers.Put this money in other league and they'll dominate like EPL teams.

Lots of leagues are badly run, Italy and Spain for example. There is also a reason why all the money is in England.

You support an English team yourself.

Don't think it's badly run. It's just better hierarchy in England. EPL made great commerical, best TV rights,Sky make big show about every game and most people watch it beacuse of that. Other countries don't do that for some reason.

Really,i support them for different reasons, not because Arsenal is from England.

The "best TV rights" happen because there's so much interest in the league, the league is immensely valuable. The packaging of the PL is a part of its allure, sure, but it's not what draws people in. I'll list what I think are more prominent reasons.

1) It's in England, and everything that surrounds the league is in English, the most common second language in the world. This makes it easier for people to engage with the league, case in point, I am a Turkish man posting on an Arsenal fan forum.

2) England is the cradle of football, and its clubs have the most extensive histories in the sport. This creates an allure that cannot be replicated elsewhere. The clubs' names, logos, kits, stadiums are recognized to a greater extent than other countries.

3) The PL experienced a golden period in terms of exciting stars during a time when international TV coverage and the outreach of the internet had started to boom. Generations of people became hooked onto the PL as a result. The worldwide popularity of Arsenal is case in point.

4) Pitch quality makes a much more profound difference than one may think. Clubs in the PL have excellent pitch management. This makes the game more visually appealing on the screen, and enables the game to be played more quickly.

This is the most crucial point, IMO. The economics of the English language is also important. ie, 534 million people speak Spanish but it's not the language of capitalism and business nor are spanish speaking countries affluent, whereas English speaking countries are very affluent and the better level of English in a country tends to be correlated with countries' affluency as well.

When you add that to the fact that 534 million is just (less than) half of the number of people that speak English in the world, la liga just doesn't have a chance economically. The same goes for France, Germany, and Italy to an even bigger extent, of course.

For instance, point 2 I don't think would matter at all if the economics / realities of point 1 were flipped around...if here in Spain we spoke English and had the economics of England, and in England they spoke Spanish and had our economics, no one would care that the English invented football, the history of clubs like Valencia, Deportivo, Athletic, etc. would have been bigger / stick out more to us, and people would say Spain is the cradle of football with the biggest club in the world (only the second part of that sentence being true in actual reality).

****, in that alternate reality, no doubt Espanyol was bought by the Qataris instead of Man City, and Atléti wouldn't just be a well-run capital club punching above its weight but a super club like Chelsea.
