Inter away is light work for some...

...heard Vieri didn't celebrate his goal here as he just knew Henry was battering them in the second half.

I’m not even mad about the result, 1-0 to inter away can happen to anyone, they really are an elite elite team.

But the way it went down man, the lack of quality, the lack of intensity, the lack of application. Aaahhh.

The worst part is I know that this team, and this manager, are capable of much more. This “football” is absolutely intentional because he breaks the season in to chunks and decides to play sufferball till Christmas or whatever and doesn’t allow the players the freedom to change it up. Did you notice how static our players were in attack? Zero rotations, just pass and stand there like a ****ing scarecrow.

Watch us after the international break and I promise we will look like a different team. And everyone will put it down to Ødegaard being back but no - we played the same **** sufferball at the start of last season with Ødegaard. Then the next phase of the season we saw our players rotate freely and tie the opposition in knots.

This period right now, what we’re going through - it is 100% self inflicted and it is 100% on Arteta.

Yeah. It’s not a bug it’s a feature of the software. We prioritise keeping possession at 0-0, waiting for a set piece or mistake to exploit instead of taking initiative and risking getting caught out.

Agree but they have to held responsibility too managers are always 1st to blame and rightly so but players get away with it always they just not helping us on the pitch even let's pretend new manager came in they still need to figure it out by themselves this past month been disaster
Both players are trying. We not talking about rashford and sancho. Outside of defenders he got terrible eye for talents. With united getting new manager and Chelsea looking stable. All focus will be back on him. He loses next game I expect the press to turn on him

Maybe just he put too much faith on them Trossard we know who he is the guy forever will be impactful sub but with Martinelli I'm just disappointed

It’s his tactics. The players are working hard, but Arteta wants crosses in the box and corners won. We don’t have the midfield to unlock defenses for our strikers to have good chances. Arteta is prioritizing strength and winning duels over technical abilities. To get a chance, it seems like Saka or martinelli have to dribble through 3 defenders and shoot to score.

Maybe this will change with Ødegaard coming to fitness.

Mikel not happy with penalty decision but to be fair this is the UEFA rule with handball. It shouldn't be penalty but we had same penalty against Shakhtar.

They at least follow the rules unlike the pl

Yeah, it wasn’t that bad of a call compared to what we’ve been dealing with in the EPL. Certainly stopped the shot by hitting his hand. I’d feel hard done if that was against us and not called.

"Utter bedlam on the timeline" sounds about right 😂
Yeh just saw some stupid video on a quite well know IG sports page of an arsenal fan going ballistic saying ‘we wouldn’t even be able to create a group chat’, all while there are stats on the screen literally saying we got 2.22 xG vs their 1.2 xG (which I assume includes their penalty) while having 21 shots and 6 on target.

Bit stupid, pick your battles 😂 I get that we are not playing super creative or free flowing football right now but this was the wrong game to complain about it. Inter got lucky with a ‘European’ pen and then should have conceded a few times where the ball was loose at the foot of their 6 yard box. They were certainly not in control at all and if we scored near the end they coulda ended up losing.

This game hasn’t said anything very positive or very negative to me. It’s just meh, deserves a draw, unfortunate to lose. I’m judging our next 3/4 PL games in terms of our season. Ode back and less ridiculous away games to top teams after Chelsea.

That’s martinelli heat map today. There’s really no excuse for this and shows terrible coaching. He out of the game 9/10 and starts with a block of players in front of him every time he gets the ball

Inter didn't even start all their best guys. It was their 'cup game'.

But we dominated.

So many chances. So many corner kicks.

Our xG was off the charts.

Our field tilt was immeasurable.

Can't wait to see those heat maps of our team today, showing our domination.
