I just came here to admit I was completely wrong about Raphina. Used to get annoyed with our pursuit of him but ever since he was moved off the right he’s become a monster.
He's looking like prime di Maria this season, not just his level it's uncanny how similar they are as players.

We clearly need more balance. Rice can do the job of 2 men defensively and we have arguably the best CB pairing in world football. We can afford more going forward
How events tend to repeat themselves over and over again. The circle of life I guess. Just about a year ago we were on this forum lamenting about our turgid football, with a number of fans almost giving up on the season not even halfway through it. And then Dubai came along, and there was the Arsenal we were all looking forward to.

I remember @SA Gunner constantly reminding A-Mers that we couldn't have just lost the 22/23 attacking ability with almost the same set of players available, but that in time the team will click into gear again. And so it was! We became a beauty both in attack and defense.

I think the team will get back to its best slowly but surely before the Winter break, considering we still have the same set of first team players like last season, as they become fully fit.

My boy Zhegrova showing @Rex Stone how it's played.

From MOTM against Real Madrid, to bossing it against the lesser known Madrid team :applause:

Lille beating Real & Atletico back to back was not in my bingo cards. As an aside, Pep Genesio has beaten Pep Guardiola, Mourinho, Ancelotti and Simeone. Not a bad resume! Too bad Klopp retired, he would have been next.

Why is that? Been there a couple of times and had any issues.

Said in anger last night admittedly but grey industrial cities never really get me going. Same flavour as dumps like Charleroi and Swansea although not quite as bad.

Try and avoid going to the Normandys and pas-de-Calais if I can help it.

Zhegrova has openly stated that he dreams of playing for Barcelona.

Dortmund were apparently after him, so do you think Lille will let him go anytime soon ?
