My only fear is that refs will give a penalty to fouls that they normally will ignore. MLS need to avoid fouling in the box and avoid a red card. MLS is my only concern.
Yeah, same. Love MLS, but he's been a bit of a liability this season in this regard. I have no doubt Real will attack him specifically, try to get him rattled and commit a dumb foul etc. This is the only area where he has looked his age this season. He's learning, though.

Why is Madrid and fans acting like a 2nd tier club by closing the roof, hyping up remontada, fans playing loud music at hotels whole night etc. Their behavior is the same as clubs like Getafe to not spray the pitch and leaving holes open on the pitch to prevent opponent play football.

It is a disgrace how they are acting. Like they are entitled to win with zero respect towards Arsenal. Real Madrid acting like they have class, but it is just a spoiled kid who cry when things does not goes their way.
Yea, they're petty af for a club of their stature. They acted like that last season as well in the CL and important league matches.

I am looking for a goal in the first five minutes where we don't celebrate but pick up the ball and race with it to the centre circle and put it down.

We need to show these cretins who's boss. We're not going there to hang on but to humiliate them again. 0-3.

I'm not confident like the rest of the forum, I was til today though. All I'm thinking about is what happens if they get a goal in the first 10 min? How are we gonna survive?

It's crucial that we have a good first half I think. Either way lets do this, we have a great change to win it all it we get to the next round.

This is not EPL with the obvious racism towards black players. MLS has been excellent so far. Yes some mistakes from time to time, but bare in mind his overall game is risky with him baiting the press and using his body as a shield. I have no doubt in the boy. He is super confident in himself and will cook again.

It’s funny because Ode never really hides from the ball or his responsibilities in the press and in defense.

He’s been poor but he’s never let the team down in terms of effort.
No one denying his effort, but this is the bare minimum from your captain. Unfortunately this is not enough, especially given the fact he should be our main creator. Anyway he will be carried by Rice as per. Hopefully its enough for us to win the tie and progress to 1/2 finals.

I don't agree
PGMOL have targeted him. Nothing to do with his age

Given the fact we lead the tie 3-0 effort, press and taking responsibility is very important. We need more creativity from him in the other games ;)

Dunno why people complain about one of our best players. He is our captain. (rather see Rice being it and Ode vice) He unlocks so many teams by his passing and he is always the first player to start the press. Even when he had the flu, you saw him sprinting 30 meters just to press the goal keeper. How many star players are willing to do that?

He got away with an obvious red against PSV, too. A silly foul while already booked. There's a few times he's been screwed by the refs, but he clearly has been rash in tackle also.
It is a learning process we have to bare during his growth. This is why top clubs hesitate to play young players because they are prone to errors. Especially young defenders which every mistakes will cause a team to lose.

Yeah. But MLS has been so good otherwise that you just have to play him. This rashness is really the only negative about his performances so far, he's been crazy good for his age.

I don't wholly agree with this narrative. The only time he showed a bit of naivety was the tackle he got away with in the CL Vs PSV, where he was already on a yellow & maaaaaybe the West Ham red.

The red against Wolves was rightly rescinded, & the pen decision Vs Everton was ridiculously soft, even the pundits agreed.

We have to remember he is only 18 & learning, but I don't think he's rash or ill disciplined at all. I think he's targeted for other reasons tbh.

Unfortunately, this is always a big concern when playing Barca or Real in the CL. Lots of dodgy calls go their way. Hope we can hold Real tomorrow and PSG beat Barca. Real probably more favored than Barca, but man that RVP red was the stuff of nightmares. Can’t give these refs any chances.
Don't we play PSG if we go through today?

Arsenal Quotes

Ian Wright was the incredible striker for whom those around him sometimes found hard to control especially the opponents. He was an extrovert, hyperactive, and had endured an extremely hard life. His playing style was instinctive, and he had that killer instinct, a player like no other.
