They had just two UEFA Cup Winners’ Cups in their 98 years of existence before the oil takeover.

Abramovich spent an astonishing £800M in 9 years to finally win their first UCL. That amount may seem reasonable now, but don’t forget inflation and how low player costs were compared to today. I don’t think it’s less than a £3Bn expenditure when you factor in today’s market.

Furthermore, he spent over £1.2Bn from 2012 until he was forced out, allowing them to win three more European trophies.

Even now, they’re spending extraordinary fees under the new ownership. They’ve spent almost twice the amount we’ve spent under Arteta, even though Arteta has been in charge for twice as long—all while making a mockery of the FFP rules.

Chelsea fans have no right to make fun of us. They’ve cheated and bought their way to titles since 2003.

It wasn’t a mediocre team, it just missed the CL spots when we were favourites to get one, and it reached a European Final where we were favourites.

These comments of billions spent reeks of jealousy, yes its obscene and cheating was involved, but cant ignore the winner mentality that club has, doing what it takes. If only our club had a sliver of that cut throat mentality, we'd be having a lot more silverware. I hate that we have to do things the 'right' way. We have enough cache and pull to maybe test the limits of the law sometimes and fight fire with fire.
