We need an emphatic win to soothe the pain of losing to those ****ers in manchester.

Likes of Tierney, Vieira, ESR, Tomiyasu should come in and put these farmers to the sword.

They scraped past Hearts in the 2 games. They beat Linfield a modest 3-0. They are a pub team.

Turner
Tomi
Saliba/Gabi/White (whoever is fittest and less tired)
Holding
Tierney
Lokonga
Xhaka (no other option unfortunately should be rested, first off if we get a 2 or 3 goal lead)
Vieira
Nelson
Marquinhos
Eddie

ESR would have been in there but it looks like he's injured. Really hate the group stages of this compeition. They are basically glorified friendlies (to us not the other teams, these games are hugely important for them and the lower leagues).

So **** watching CL and then watching this but that's our level and what we deserve and can have no complaints.
Id put in Tomiyasu as centreback and play Soares as full back to give the the normal back 4 a rest or to try White in midfield and push Lokonga in to the left 8. But its Arteta so more than likely the team we see will be 7/11 of our normal starters, maybe a rest for Jesus, Saliba and White.

Yeah could be a decent alternative not a bad shout in the easier games in the group.

All I want is as close to 0 first teamers as possible, I don't mind if Partey starts (if he's back) as he'll need the minutes in an easier fixture but other than that this is what the likes of Cedric/Holding etc. are in the squad for.

Knowing Arteta and why I have very little hope for this season is he don’t know how to use his squad and will play several first team players. End of September we will have serious injury crisis cause the idiot won’t rotate players

Lokonga should be nowhere near this

Looking at their form, they look a decent setup. Dont know much about them though. Hopefully Smith Rowe is available for this one.

Pity we cant completely rotate here, I would like to give Granit a rest. If Nelson is available, perhaps we can.

Smith Rowe----Nketiah-----Marquinhos
------------------Vieira
------------Xhaka------Lokonga
Tierney----Holding-----Tomiyasu-----Cedric
------------------Turner

They are joint bottom of their league, played 7, won 0, drew 2 and lost 5, and they've just sold their star player to Leeds.

Watch Charity FC make them look like world beaters! :shivering:

Turner looked calmer when he came on in the Chelsea friendly compared to the friendly where he started against Everton. I think people are going overboard on him.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Arteta doesn't do heavy rotation, no? I imagine there will be a bunch of first teamers starting. Probably will want to qualify for the knockouts first.

Within six months of his appointment conte managed to bring Sp**s back to ucl football , while Arteta has been here for four years, spent 450 million on transfers and we are still playing on thursdays. Next season will be no different
