Emery is better than Tuchel and probably better than 99% of managers in Europe.
Would you take Tuchel? Think the discussion on the next manager depends on how long Emery is here. Next summer Allegri, Tuchel & Ten Haag would probably be the standout candidates. If it's 2021 then Arteta could be more realistic since Pep is expected to leave then so he might be open to a new challenge.

For me I'd have an interest in Tuchel, Jardim and perhaps Ten Haag as well. But what's most important for me is getting in a proper football leadership structure. It really seems to me as though we are farting in the dark right now.

I only know Tuchel on paper tbh. Not regularly watched his teams to judge what we’ll be getting.

PSG in the champions league look average.

Lots of rumours about Chelsky after Lampard. There’s a lot to be said for former players as manager. The fans really get behind them and there’s that family feel.

Of course those of us that suggested that longshot iPad Arteta might be worth a punt least year got shat on good and proper by the AM moderators. It was a blood bath.

How did Tuchel do worse than Emery?
He lost the Coupe de France final, got knocked out of the League Cup by Guingamp who were 20th in the league at the time, and blew a 2 goal lead at home in the CL to a United team missing 10 first team players. As bad as La Remontada was, at least PSG could point to some shoddy refereeing decisions as a contributing factor. The United loss was just poor all around.

Never really got the hype around Tuchel but the players and the fans on here who seems to watch every top division seems to rate him higher than Emery.

Cups are unimportant. Emery lost the league to Monaco. That's very unacceptable with PSG money.

Emery blew a 4 goal lead in the CL, no matter the excuses. Man Utd result was flukier, the play on the field was good for PSG, they were just plain unlucky.

You can't really argue that Tuchel hasn't done worse. If the cups weren't important he wouldn't have bothered fielding his strongest team.

Yes losing 4 goal lead is a disaster however way you look at it. Still losing to guingamp or blowing a 2 goal lead against Rennes in a final is probably worse than capitulating against Messi, Iniesta, Suarez and Neymar. The worse one is losing at home against this Man Utd team..by 2 goals. Even Cardiff won by 2 goals against Ole's team. Any decent team should have put 5 past them.

Also did you see that Monaco team. They were great that year. Mbappe was brilliant, Falcoa was back to his best. Bernardo Silva was pulling the strings. Fabinho was solid in midfield. They also had Lemar and Moutinho there. Mendy at left back. Players who all moved on for big money afterwards. Also they didn't just do it in the league. They knocked out Pep's much fancied City out of the Cl on their way to the semi final.
