Neymar has been named Brazil captain. Yes, Neymar.

It's already obvious that Louis van Genius is being sorely missed.

De Rossi bossing things in the middle, such a top player. Shame he hasn't played in the CL for a while and Serie A has gone to ****.

Good for him.

I had some doubts about Debauchy defensively.

However, having watched the first half of this game, he has been defensively solid. It could be because he is not doing as much attacking because Sissoko is attacking very well on the right side.

Don't understand this decision, Silva has an intense and calm demeanor - he was a fine captain.

Giving the armband to Neymar is just a popularity vote imo, has as much to do with glamour/marketing as it does footballing reasons.

Great finish on the second.

Not a surprise as he's been sticking them away comfortably for the U-21's for a while now, it's about transferring that to the top flight.

Very solid performance from France today.

Varane was excellent.

Sakho was very impressive and effectively took Costa out of the game. I really think we missed a beat not getting him last year, he was available for cheap and brings a nice physical presence to a team and he is great in the air.

Pogba is also becoming more and more exciting to watch.

Benzema was impressive up top on his own, not sure how people on here dont rate him.

I stand by what I said as I really think there is a potential golden age creeping in here for france, if their U21s can live up to their potential and the senior squad keeps on improving then it is looking bright for them.

Remy had a nice goal as well.

Still wished we had signed him myself. And by all accounts we were in for him but couldn't trump Chelsea to get him. At least we didn't want to pay too much for him anyway, which is fair enough. Still Chelsea got him for £10.5m, that's a great fee for him in this day and age. My concern is that he won't get games at Chelsea and have a difficult time getting his rhythm. Of course Costa has already picked up a couple different knocks already, so I won't be surprised to see him miss/rest quite a few games over the course of the season. So you never know. But with Costa and Drogba...time might be difficult to get.

Always thought Remy had some talent, I even remember watching him back at OL  and in his Nice days he started to do well.

Are France finally pushing on in to a new 'era'? I haven't been able to to bring myself to watch them for years...

Absolutely, they were among the top 3 teams at the WC for me in terms of balance in the squad and playing style.

they're a team that plays with a pretty good level of cohesion. They work well together as a unit, but the biggest problem (for years now, really) has been goals. Benzema will go and score 4 in 2 matches, then not score for another year. Remy/Giroud/the rest just don't score enough.

I think having nothing but friendlies for 2 years is perfect for France. Lots of young players, and nothing but time to experiment with what works best. Definitely a team to watch out for in 2016.

Definitely have a lot of talent coming through.

Kingley Coman that just moved to Juve from PSG looked very good last match for Juve. Anxious to see more from him, only 18. Lot's of talent in that U21 team.
