At this point it feels like Southgate is trying to prove a point by not dropping Maguire (and Phillips for that matter). He's backed himself into a corner here.
I do feel a bit for Maguire. If the England manager keeps selecting you, you're not going to tell him "Nah, I'm good. Better pick someone else."

On the other hand, it doesn't seem like he's desperate to get minutes on a club basis to prove people wrong. Otherwise he wouldn't be at ManUtd anymore.

Bellingham just started his career. Iirc, the same words were said of Rooney at start of his career when he had those phenomenal performances at Euro 2004.
The difference is that Rooney is a weirdo with off field issues who let himself go at an early age. Bellingham seems to have an elite mentality and none of Rooney's character issues. The sky is the limit for that kid.

Bellingham is a generational talent.

When his career is over I wouldn't be surprised at all if he's talked of as England's best ever player. He's that good.
People in Madrid are calling him a Zidane clone. I wouldn't go that far but when you're getting favorably compared to that man by that fanbase, you have to be doing something right. He's an absolute joy to watch play football. I think only injuries can stop him becoming an all time great player.

He didn’t give colwill or Tomori a minute of playing time. Which is his way of using experience as reason why Maguire has to play

Japan really looking scary out there, their midfield is incredibly gifted. Mitoma, 2 x Ito, Kubo, Endo, and the rest of them are quality.
They only lacked a world class GK and a hungry goalscorer up top but I really think this is their golden generation.

It's interesting that Purple Patchford was allowed to go on a holiday to NY when fully fit with no England call up but Saka clearly struggling for fitness is not afforded a much needed rest. The double standards are mind boggling. Maybe if he makes a few more PR statements and develops a stupid celebration he can get the same preferential treatment.

Seem italy will be without Tonali Fagoli and Zaniolo against England because all 3 involved in match betting. All 3 could be banned from football for 3 years if found guilty

Forgot England were playing tonight lol.

I see Rice has also gotten a rest. Apparently we haven’t had a shot on target? Should I bother even turning it on?

Colwill getting turned by Aussie farmers  he better pray that Saka is injured next Saturday and that Jesus is not playing on the RW in his stead.

Colwill turns like a tractor, no locomotion in his hips.
