If it continues into the next season. He hasn't played in almost a month so a bit of rust is understandable. He also never looked fully fit since he came back from injury. I think it was pure adrenaline that got him through the Madrid ties and then after that he was really just playing himself back into real fitness.

He assisted the first goal and generally looked technically assured. I’d say Senegal’s midfield won out today overall and he was a big part of that, not misplacing a single pass. Only downside was getting dispossessed for England’s goal.

Saka got some change didn’t he? In that first 20 mins or whatever of 2nd leg when we won the “we put the pressure on” trophy he was twisting Mendes in knots. Nothing came of it as we all know too well but he definitely had him beat.

Nahh Saka was terrible against him 2nd leg. I think he only got past him once IIRC although Kvara did extremely well doubling up on Saka.

Come on man, he (and the club) clearly focused on just getting him solid for the CL and nothing more. He should have never played this game. If he's not at it at the start of next season then we can have that conversation.

Saka had something like 6 shots and multiple dribbles in Paris, could have easily scored a hatty. Don't know where this narrative comes from.
