• To all AM members and guests.

For the start of the new season, Arsenal Mania has relaunched the news side of the site. All articles are written by genuine Arsenal fans with no hidden agenda. You can visit the site via the menu at the top of the forum pages or go direct to our homepage

Additionally, Arsenal Mania is now sending all its registered members a bi-weekly Briefing Bulletin containing a digest of news and views from both parts of the site. Some of you may have already received the first edition and those that haven't should do so before the big kick off against United. If you are a guest visitor to this forum then if you join as a member, you will automatically receive the Bulletin.

Please support both these initiatives and help ensure the long term future of our site.

There is almost zero chance the United link is true. Given the length of time this has gone on I’d be more surprised if there weren’t stories like this popping up. The transfer news cycle is just about profiting from clicks and engagement. The frustration of Arsenal fans combined with desperation of United fans makes this the perfect click bait story to make a few £.

Or have we binned off Gyokeres because we are now getting Isak?

Isak could have been promised serious transfers in from Newcastle who have missed out on all their main targets. Maybe he kicked off and wants out. Eddie Howes comments yesterday were pretty odd.

I’m a massive fan of Gyok but if there is even a hint of Isak being available we need to be in the conversation.

Lol. If we fail to get Gyökeres we will sign Sesko or Jackson instead.

Arsenal will be the losers because they need striker like now they need to put thier ego aside and just accept sporting demands it's really not worth and we not paying over his value in fact we done well to pay 55M£
Sorry, I shouldn’t have put question marks 😀 Yes, we would obviously be losers, so get this done Berta!

Isak we not getting him the guy is not for sale And Arsenal already investing alot this window need to upgrade multi position we not gonna put 150M to Newcastle we taking forever to get 55M over the line . Still we'll end up with Gyokeres.

Sporting can agree a fee with as many clubs as they want, doesn't matter a single bit if the player isn't interested. The only way it would matter is if Arsenal themselves opt to move on, in which case the player isn’t left with much choice. Not that any of the utd stuff is true anyway, it's just one last pathetic push from Sporting to pressure Arsenal and get whatever they can. Hopefully it's a long time before we have to deal with these ****s again.

The logical part of me agrees with this but Howes comments have let me dream a little longer.

Id choose Isak and no more incomings over every other scenario, even if it means relying on Martineli and Trossard one more season.

There would be rumours about this if we'd be interested. There's nothing.

Look if Isak was really available Arsenal wouldn't waste time to deal for Gyokeres. Howe isn't in control of transfers too but Newcastle are in strong position they won't sell unless someone offer really let's say 130M. Arsenal won't do that. Also Isak not hinting to a move him not playing against Celtic doesn't change a thing

Don't do this to yourself. No chance we sign Isak this window. First of all how much would it take? Why would Newcastle sell for less than £150m? They don't want to sell and they don't need to sell. So you can forget them setting a reasonable price for him (reasonable price for him is probably about £120-130m when you consider likes of Ekitike are going for over £80m).

Secondly if they have to sell why would they sell to a fellow PL team? They can just do what Liverpool did with Suarez and refuse to sell unless a team from abroad makes a good offer for him.

I have no arguements to disagree with any of that bro.

I’m just basing it purely off vibes and hangover brain.

Arsenal Quotes

I don't want the will to educate to be opposed by the will to win. That makes the educator sound like an idiot.
Any manager's approach must be to educate. One of the beauties of our job is the power to influence the course of a man's life in a positive way.
You and me have been lucky enough to meet people who believed in us and led us forward.
The streets are full of talented people but who didn't have the luck of finding someone who placed faith in them. I can be the one that facilitates life, that gives an opportunity
