Most of what I say is positive and factually correct. Not my fault people get stuck on the negative. My only issue with Arsenal is Arteta and Trashvertz. Remove these two and everything is glorious
None if these acknowledge that Kai cost us at least one big trophy. 2 years later his apologists are still saying Kai was a success. Insanity

Mosquera is arriving here tomorrow.

Last I have been told is Gyokeres will at the latest join us in Hongkong, but like I said we already prepared a room for him here. Berta is not with us, I highly doubt he can sign his contract here. Dr Iqbal is here so medical here is possible even though unlikely.
You guys already had first hand info few days ago but don't read. He can’t sign his contract in Singapore as Berta is not here. We also won't have the facilities here for a medical so likely he will do that in London.

As things stand we are actually expecting him in the hotel here now instead of at Hong-Kong.

Hey guys, quick update on the Gyokeres situation — and to be honest, it’s a complete mess over here in Portugal.

It’s hard to even explain how chaotic things have become.

Let’s start with the media. It’s honestly disheartening. Watching some journalists blatantly lie just to 'climb the ladder' is frustrating and, frankly, embarrassing for the profession.

Last week, reports claimed that Sporting and Arsenal had agreed on a deal: €63.5M plus €10M in bonuses. They also said Çetinkaya would walk away with no commission from Sporting. However, there was no detail about the bonus structure. Then, suddenly, the deal was “off” — and the press shifted to reporting an agreement between Sporting and Manchester United.

Fast forward to yesterday: the same outlets (basically Record) now say Sporting and Arsenal have reached a deal again. Same numbers, but this time the bonuses are “detailed.” Now, the narrative has changed — the press is calling it a masterclass by Sporting president Frederico Varandas, praising him for outmaneuvering Arsenal and controlling the pace of the negotiations.
Some even went as far as claiming Arsenal are now “tasting their own venom” and that Sporting are setting the terms.

Let’s be clear: this is pure theatre.

The reality:

Arsenal and Gyokeres have stood firm. The Manchester United links were fabricated, a classic pressure tactic aimed at forcing Arsenal’s hand. But Gyokeres only wants Arsenal, and everyone knows it.

The “new” agreement being reported is the exact same deal that was on the table last week. Sporting are simply holding back the official announcement because they want to finalize a replacement first: Luis Suárez from Almería.

For context, Suárez is a player Jorge Mendes has been trying to place for three or four years in a big portuguese club. He was even pitched as Darwin Núñez’s replacement at Benfica when Darwin left for Liverpool.

Bottom line, this entire mess was caused by Frederico Varandas.

First, he broke a promise made to Gyokeres, a promise that collapsed under pressure from Jorge Mendes, who pushed to steer the player toward a deal brought to Sporting by him.

What followed was a full-blown PR operation designed to protect Varandas’ image in front of Sporting fans, shifting all the blame onto Gyokeres.

Absolute **** show.

This is crazy. But are the 3 top Portuguese team beholden to Jorge Mendes power? It seems you can’t operate at the highest level in Portugal without having relationship with him. Overall it’s sad Gyokeres leaves as hated player despite the success he brought to Sporting last 2 years

you could do some pretty cool tactical tweaks with gyok and isak interchanging the left and central spaces with saka out right.

That's why it'll never happen.

Arsenal Quotes

Right from his very first match, when Patrick Vieira was as yet unknown to the English public, he showed just how talented he was. No one disputed his ability, and he gave me the credibility and the hold over the club that I needed to take it in the direction I wanted. He and Emmanuel Petit became a duo that would remain forever etched in the memories of Arsenal fans.
