Was on Vinai's payroll; misses 4th place trophy 🏆
Not overly keen on this deal tbh. Feel like there’s serious limitations to his game and this all but takes us out the market for Isak next year.

Really need him to hit because if he flops we’ll have two underperforming strikers on massive wages that will probably end this cycle.
This is the best we'll get Sesko clearly made zero effort to join

Not a fan of him but atleast he’s a striker and hope mikel and the coaching staff turn him into a monster.

Form Portugal to premier league is a massive step.

Far more excited about this than Sesko and this isn’t me backwards rationalising.

He’s a ready to go man. He’s either gonna bang like Wrighty or duff like Laca (who admittedly won our POTY)

We can’t afford to wait for Isak. We needed a striker last season and I don’t think it necessarily rules us out. We can always move Havertz back or move him on.

I'd be praying he flops then but who are we kidding, we've seen the club back our man when he took us out of Europe entirely they'll do it again.

I’m really in my feelings right now but could easily go like this: Liverpool win major honours again this season, not signing a marquee CF, Isak becomes available next summer, they sign him.

They’re just a better football club than us right now.

Feels like the most obvious flop-transfer we could do this summer.

But if Leipzig dont want to lower their price for Sesko, we dont really have a better alternative than him.

Still think the safe option was Watkins as you could still probably get Isak next year.

That being said, one thing with Gyo is you look dumb if he foes for 50M and just keeps on scoring.

So what ? We do not have time to wait for Isak, we need a confirmed striker now in order to finally win something big now
Gyokeres fits this perfectly, 27, hungry and willing to prove himself at the highest level, he sure has limitations but will bring so much threat in front of goal, very happy with him

Yep just think that Liverpool are always making the right plays and are never desperate. We are desperate this summer.

You rate Sesko higher? Definitely has the higher ceiling but he'd 100% have flopped here imo, Gyökeres is a much safer signing for a manager that has to rely on his attackers' instincts going forward.

Arsenal Quotes

In 1997/98 we became English champions as I had set myself three missions to carry out which I felt were essential. One: to have an impact on the result and the team's playing style. Two: to foster the player's individual development. Three: to strengthen the structure of the club and enhance its global influence.
