• To all AM members and guests.

For the start of the new season, Arsenal Mania has relaunched the news side of the site. All articles are written by genuine Arsenal fans with no hidden agenda. You can visit the site via the menu at the top of the forum pages or go direct to our homepage

Additionally, Arsenal Mania is now sending all its registered members a bi-weekly Briefing Bulletin containing a digest of news and views from both parts of the site. Some of you may have already received the first edition and those that haven't should do so before the big kick off against United. If you are a guest visitor to this forum then if you join as a member, you will automatically receive the Bulletin.

Please support both these initiatives and help ensure the long term future of our site.

The analytical nerds are in revolt. George on the cannon podcast is very disappointed with Gyokeres, its clear he feels there is little chance this signing will work. He feels the same with Madueke, which is a decent shout tbh.

All the analytical nerds are heavy sesko whilst all the ex player and aftv "vibes" pundits are heavy gyokeres. I can predict the signing virtually every pundit wants because its so clustered along these lines.

I watch the Cannon podcast regularly, disagree with George big time here. Both Alex and George speak about Sesko with a bit too much bias. Focusing mostly on his strengths and not really looking at his red flags such as low xG and low shot volume.

I don't think have we have any 'mentality monsters' at Arsenal. I think Gabriel and Timber probably have the best mentality in the squad because they play with aggression because its part of their character. Xhaka would fall into this same box which is why he ends up being a leader wherever he goes.

Saka doesn't have the ego of a main man. I think Ødegaard is a performer/aesthete. Rice is tireless but he is a nice guy at the end of the day.

I don't think you understand what 'mentality monster' means lol

I don’t rate George’s ball knowledge at all tbh. He’s very good at constructing and portraying a narrative which is why he’s good at what he does, but his objective footballing analysis is mehhhh.

Alex is pretty good though.

Strikers hit their prime later usually if they aren't just pace merchants.

I will be there.

If it’s true and we got Gyok for €65 million that’s incredible business. Sporting were dead set on €80+ million just weeks ago.

I tried to watch the Sp*rs match on television in my hotel yesterday, but I fell asleep.
