Goals aside he was excellent with his hold up play and control. He has to start now surely he’s on a good scoring and assisting run.

I underestimated his learning adaptability. The Gyokeres few months back was always at the wrong place and losing duels. Now he's winning duels and appearing at right place right time.

Somemore this sub appearance from him and Jesus are giving our opponents big problem to defend with

The narrative from the people that have an agenda against him now say he is a flat track bully while ignoring the goals against teams like Inter, Atletico Madrid and Chelsea. Horrible people.
If your first focus is on others opinions rather than his performance then you know who's the one with agenda

Gyok being unlocked by Kai?

Things that make you go .. hmmmm

Not necessarily, it’s quite obvious he needs someone a lot closer to him than what Ode was providing as he usually drops deep leaving him isolated against a low block.

Kai and him could form a pretty decent partnership, similar to the combination with Nelli in recent games. @Blood on the Tracks posted that article a month ago about using a similar approach to what Inter are doing with Lautaro and Thuram.

People are always too eager to write players off. I've criticized Gyök as well but I've always said I'm not writing him off yet. There's always an adjustment.

So he is unlocking him?

Unlocking him, playing well together, building a good partnership…which ever way you want to look at it you can.

If anything it shows Ødegaard wasn’t really pulling his weight and should be played further back.

I get what you mean but Inter's play is quite different.

I am seeing Alvarez Sorloth kind of combination with them. Kai natural position is as a space finder 10 so this could really work very well. Gyokeres will be able to feed him back too in time to come

First goal I thought was very nice if a bit scruffy in the build up.

Second goal was where a number 9 should be in a breakaway situation

There's chemistry with him and Kai.

Can't ask for more from a sub appearance so well done to him.

He and Kai should pair up against Brentford. I'd like to see that develop. Jesus didn't offer enough today to warrant starting anyway.

Arsenal Quotes

In June 1996, David Dein, Peter Hill-Wood and Danny Fiszman came out to Nagoya to meet me on behalf of Arsenal. Within an hour we came to an agreement. The Japanese directors didn't try to keep hold of me in the usual way but talked with persuasive arguments... But as far as I was concerned, the decision was taken. Arsenal. A decision that would change my life.
