Obviously Max will get all the headlines ( and rightfully so) but Gyok's goal was far more important.

I've had issues with him not positioning himself as a proper poacher with season. He did it last night.

Not the best goal he's scored for us but definitely the most important.

Easy goal obviously but he still scored it and if you win the title this season, all questions about him being worth the money vanish because he scored that, or at least it should.

I maintain he is fine for what you paid but there's clearly a narrative against him/the transfer in the media and on socials and moments like this help a lot to counter that.

I maintain that he would have looked and played better if our other striker options didn't suffer as many injuries as they did this season. Reckon he was brought in to play against specific types of teams, rotating with Havertz/Merino. But with Havertz being mostly unavailable, he's had to do it all alone.

Very very happy with yet another goal.

Think this is a very fair comment.

He's our top goalscorer and going to go past 20 goals maybe even 25 in all competitions by the end of the season.

He hasn't been transformative like many hoped and struggled to gel with the team at times but I think it would be harsh to give him anything less than 7/10 for the season.

All the naysayers here & bottom-feeding opposition fans will bleat endlessly that he's not great & what not.

It'll be recorded for posterity that Arsenal won their first title in over two decades the season he was signed!! That is ALL that matters.

Yeah I've not been impressed with his game at all but he is getting big goals fairly regularly now. Actually think he and Havertz are good options up top at the moment. Two very different players that can be deployed depending on the situation.
This was exactly the way I wanted Gyökeres to be used alongside Havertz. It's been insanely bad timing with his, Havertz's and Jesus' injuries all combining at bad times. Even Merino got injured forcing us to just play on through with Gyökeres being the only fit striker..
