Terrible signing. He can score goals only against Portuguese minnows. Our penny wise, pound foolish approach always backfires. We missed the window we had to win a championship, it's very demoralizing.
Its true Gyok is less proven against high level teams, and its rare for Portuguese league CF to succeed at higher level leagues, but Gyok does have very good physical traits, movement, shooting, and mentality, better than Havertz and GabiJ, so he is likely Arsenal's best current CF. I think Arsenal could buy better but its Gyok bought, so lets support Gyok and see how good Gyok really is. If Gyok not good enough as main CF then next summer there will be options available.

My mate in Hk (the guy featured on arsenal ig with his kids) said Gyokeres looks unreal in training.

Showing a lot of intensity to score

Really excited to see how he plays in the current set up.

Hopefully with Zubi in side, we will have a lot more control in the midfield so the CF can be more focused on movements in behind.

The only players Arsenal could have maybe bought that might be better is either Isak or Julian Alvarez, both would have cost double of what we paid for Gyokeres and it’s even debacle as to whether either of them is better than him.

Don’t get me started on that Sesko or Ekitike nonsense, none of them compares to Gyokeres and their alleged potential may never be realize, for the prices that is being quoted for them, these are huge expensive gambles.

15-20 for the next 3/4 seasons is fine. Thats Ollie Watkins. The only thing I hope is that he doesn't like to net 5 against the lesser teams but get drowned out of the bigger games.

It's the lesser teams we tend to drop points against.

You’ve got to rate his mentality. He bided his time and welcomed the pressure of solving our number 9 problem as he knows he can do it and he’s better than what we have at the club, can’t say the same for others who need assurances of game time before they sign on the dotted line.

Like many of us have been saying for a while, it’s quite evident that Gyokeres recognised that we have the best CB pairing in world football. Gabriel and Saliba must have made a big impression on him when we played them as they were brilliant on the night.

Last season I agree, but in our title runs we dropped points against better sides.
If by dropped points you mean didn't win every game against them, sure. But our record against the top sides has been consistently good for two years now.
It's the teams that sit deep that's given us trouble.

Over last 3 seasons we've lost points to the likes Newcastle and Villa as well as the Cities/Pools and I wouldn't say these teams sit deep. Though I agree with you, teams like Everton, who are organised and sit deeper, are bogey teams which trip us consistently. Better defenses and more organisation will be a problem for a team struggling with creation/conversion.

You see it more when you watch us rather than look at the results, that for all our possession, we struggle to pose a threat against tough opposition. Imagine if we didn't have set pieces to put sides on the back foot? City and pool don't rely on set pieces and win titles. Thats why I want attackers and creators who are consistently difficult to contain against kind of opposition - Saka is the only one at the moment. You don't have to be an elite player to be a nuisance either i.e Toney, Watkins come to mind. I think Gyokeres could fit in this bracket.

Looking at the video when they spoke to his agents sporting really seem done everything so they can at least get more money from him but gotta respect Gyokeres insisting and stayed patient even tho his agent say he got grumpy because the transfer taking awhile.

Also sporting changing DOF affect this gentleman agreement the players need to stop got into gentleman agreement crap in today football it's all about money

Yeah I learned a lesson from that, football is a funny sport.

I remember @Macho made a pretty big deal of how concerning it is that he couldn’t even score one goal from that challenge, I think we all thought it deep down but were hoping it didn’t mean anything 😭

You can't play/pretend to have bad technique it's literally how you do things. That argument was one of those where people looked at the poster instead of reading what was said.

Havertz is definitely an athlete, but a baller he is not and hopefully that debate has been put to rest.

need new LW and CAM who will actually create chances for gyokeres

also we playing like this, slow build up and holding ball for far too long will not help VG at all, only created few chance, we saw this today,.

Striker is not only our issues but lack of creativity from midfielders and winger, our players did not making runs and they delay passes ,

Ødegaard needs serious competitor to show him how a 10 plays, we should sign Eze together ,

we are so predictable with the way we play only rely on RHS also Martinelli and Havertz should be benched

again the way we played is awful, we can barely play hold ball for long & our midfielders are shaky because too easy loose ball when under pressure with also lack of creativity in final third

15 minutes for guy that have one training session no surprise he done nothing.

Still should had an assist if Zubi didn't forget how to shot lol.

But imo he need to drop more deep that body strength and ball carrying shouldn't be wasted the era of cf waiting for someone to create him a chance is gone
